“Ryan! Please wait!” She ducked down an aisle lined with camping accessories and turned toward the shoe department with the single-minded thought to find Luke and Alex and get out of here. Alex was trying on what appeared to be a third pair of snow boots when Ryan reached the shoe department, while Luke waited patiently as an employee assisted his foster son.
