Lucas barged in with a whole crew trailing behind him, completely disregarding the shocked stares from everyone in the room. When his eyes met mine, they gleamed like distant constellations before he flashed me a mischievous wink. Silently mouthing "Wait for me," he immediately engaged Dylan in conversation in the living room. I knew Dylan wouldn't let a prize like Lucas slip away—or so I thought. But then he actually went after ten percent of Lucas's shares. The moment I heard that, I rushed out from my room, grabbed Lucas's hand, and tried to pull him away. "Lily, what's this nonsense?"
