Here comes the devil!

The relationship between Dr. Liu and his son was never been close, he even didn't come to Prof. Wang's funeral. Liu Fei also didn't bother to look for him. Why they got married, what happened with their marriage was always a big question for Liu Fei, but he never wants to ask that to either his mother or father. He always keeps his distance from both of his parents, he is afraid if he comes too close that imaginary thin layer will break and the Pandora box is opened. The word family in their relationship depends on that thin layer.

"Liu Fei, long time no see...How are you?"

"Father, I am fine, and how about you?"

These formal conversations always said whenever they meet.

"Fine, I heard about your engagement, congratulations! Where is my daughter in law?"

"Oh she said she has something to do for a couple of days, I will ask her if she has spared time to meet you. What are you doing here father?"

"I have something to do near here, so I thought why don't I catch up with you? You didn't tell me about the engagement, I heard it from Celine."

"I am sorry father, it was all of a sudden. After mom left, I feel very lonely and the feeling I am going to lose someone if I don't make her mine is unbearable for me. So I ask her to marry me, but she thinks I did it because of the loss of mom which makes me very lonely. She said I should take some time, marriage is not something we should do when the adrenaline rushes us. I still insist on it, of course, and we agreed to get engaged first, and then we'll see..."

"I see, I never heard about her, but I've also never been in your life also..."

"I will arrange a dinner for the three of us, to introduce her. When do you have free time?"

"How about tonight? My business here has finished."

"Hmm...She is not well and has to have some rest these couple of days. How long will you stay here?"

"Actually, I am thinking to stay here for quite some time, I have just met my business partner and if everything goes smoothly I will open a branch office here. But I have to go back first, let me tell you when I am here."

"That's a good news! Please keep in contact dad."

"May, guess who I met this afternoon?!"

"Who is it, Liu Fei? You look so excited."

"It's my father, I haven't seen him for almost 4 years now, he...even...did not come to mom's funeral, why should I feel excited..."

There were a smile and a hope in his eyes just now, but that smile now has become a frown, he must have realized his father is not someone he should feel excited about. 

"I see, why did he come? Has he gone now?"

"I don't know he just said he was having a business near the hospital. He knows about my engagement, I guess Celine must have told him. Anyway, he wants to meet us, but don't worry his opinion will not matter in our relationship."

So that devil has come, my "show" is successful.

"Is that so? What did you tell him?"

"I told him that you are sick now, so it's a shame he can't meet you know. But he said he will set up a new business here so he needs to stay here for a while. Isn't it good May?"

"Oh...Well...I think the fewer people who know about me the better. Besides this is just the job, why should I be introduced to your father..."

"Hey if my father approves us in front of many people then  It can convince more people that we are a real couple."

"I see but I don't think you should take this relationship that seriously, I think around 1 or 2 months I will solve this case. When I find the people who threaten you, I will take care of them and you will be safe."

"1 or 2 months? Is my time with her that short? she will disappear after that? Have you got some clues about who they are? You should tell me everything May, I don't want you to face danger alone."

Clue? Yes, the devil has come by himself!  "Liu Fei, my task here is to keep you safe. As long as you are fine you don't need to know about other things. You are a doctor, your job is saving a life. The bad guys, how to fight or eliminate them are my part."

"But protecting my fiancée is my job!"

"Oh come on..." May shakes her head in frustration and goes to her room.

"May... hey May... we haven't finished talking, when will we meet my father?" Liu Fei hurriedly catching up with May, but the door has closed, May has ended their conversation for tonight.

"Boss... the devil has come, we can finish this case sooner than I predict," May calls uncle Xi Men.

"The devil? Do you mean Dr. Liu?"

"Yes. He has met Liu Fei and wanted to meet me. I think he has taken my bait, standing in "that place" has trigged him to take action."

"It's dangerous, he is not someone who you can take lightly. There must be some powerful people who back him up, otherwise, we have already caught the devil's hands."

"I know boss, but I think when we catch him, they won't help him. They are just some hypocrite politicians and rich people who always use their money to do everything, they won't back him up instead they will look for another devil who can do their dirty job."

"Yes, I agree with you May but until then you have to be careful!"

"Boss, there is another thing I should ask for your help..."

"The 1-week leave from this assignment, right?  Is he getting more suspicious?"

"I just don't feel comfortable working with someone who always looks for a chance to get closer. And also it can make him in a dangerous situation if one of my enemies find out our relationship, though it's fake."

"I understand, where will you go?"

"Angel told me something about the organ's black market which is now famous in underground society. You can get any organs in a very short time. I think it must be organized by The Devil's Hands organization. if it's true then they are up for something, they don't need money but why they go "public" like that. I wonder what the reason is."

"I see...when will you go then so I can arrange more back up to watch over Dr. Liu?"

"In 1 or 2 days if nothing happens I will go there. My wounds are healing so nothing can limit my movement."

"Okay, tell me 1 day before you leave."

"Got it!"
