His Name?

It has been a whole week since the lunch break incident. There has been no update on those guys except for the fact that I have my gym class and English class with the emerald eyed guy. I really thought that Ginny would somehow manage to get Justin to talk to her but for some reason I see that she hasn’t tried to take a step toward the mere possibility. And despite of her lack of interest in making a move, I keep encouraging her. Just like any other day today after my math class I headed to the changing room and then to the gym. If I'm being honest I’ve never been the sporty one. I am a little interested in basketball and I might be a little good at it but I don’t brag about it. I was just a learner during my junior high. So of all the other games I opted for basketball. Till today I’d seen emerald guy to have just gone for a run-down session in the ground but today he was sitting in the gym room. With all of us. He had a blue t-shirt on with ‘Tiger Sharks’ printed on it which was the school team. I could bet he was coming from the ground after his little warm up. Because I could see sweat trickling down his perfectly sculpted nose and right above his upper lip. And oh! How much I wanted to lick it. Wait! What?! I was brought out of my day dream when the coach blew the whistle, signaling to start our respective games. I was playing my game with utter concentration when the sight of emerald guy staring at me caught my attention. Bad timing though because from the corner of my eye I saw the ball coming right at my head and as a reflex my hand flew to my face and the ball bounced back in some direction. After I was able to overcome my little shock I saw a pair of emerald eyes staring at me with shear fury and rage burning in them. That’s when I realized that the ball had hit him square in the face. s**t! I saw him take few steps towards me to hover over me while I was too nervous to move so I stayed glued to the spot. His eyes were carrying a weird emotion. Probably a mix of anger and…….amusement? And then the fact that we were so close that if we tried to get any closer our lips would meet. Oh his lips. Plump pink. I want to taste them. Ivy! Control! “You could be a little more careful and try not to sleep in the middle of the game. It’s dangerous for you and other people.” He said that in a rather rough tone. And yet my heart managed to melt for him. At those near hateful words. “Aaron Cage, get back to your game. You too, Miss Hale.” The coach addressed. Aaron walked away with that one last death glare that he sent my way before looking behind me at the girls who were gawking at him like dumb raccoons and then turning back to jog his way off the court. And with that the rest of my day went on with me riding on the highest of the clouds my imagination could manage to reach. The next day I walked in bubbling up with all the news from last day that I wanted to share with Ginny. When I reached my locker I saw Ginny waiting for me there. From the look on her face I could tell that she had no different situation than mine. Her big ‘victory’ grin was plastered across her face. “I wanna tell you something!!!!!” we both said it in sync and laughed. “Alright let’s spill together” Ginny suggested. “I had my first dialogue with Aaron.” “I had my first dialogue with Justin.” “Wait! Who’s Aaron?” Ginny’s eyes went wide at my confession. “Oh! He’s the other guy with Justin.” Her eyes widened. I could actually read the shock off of her face. I wondered if she thought I wasn’t capable of talking to hot guys. Yeah! Well, technically I didn’t talk but I still was strong enough to not pass out in front of that piece of art. That does count, right? The rest of our walk from our lockers to our physics class we talked about what happened with me. And she told me she kind of had a friendly chat with Justin over coffee. The excuse was to return his notebook which she had stolen. And surprisingly enough Justin suggested they should hangout often. Well, sure her story so far was better than mine. Or should I say advancement of her story. Cause, mine is stuck at death glares and cold stares. The rest of the day went by with me and Ginny changing classes and chatting and drooling over hot guys and eating lots of protein bars. Soon it was time for my English class. And I couldn’t wait to see Aaron. But...disappointment on my face was as clear as day when I noticed the window seat empty. Which meant Aaron was not here. But I remember that I saw him in the corridors and in the canteen during lunch when I tried to smile at him but he easily brushed it off with a mere roll of eyes. That meant he was either bunking English class or he’d fled off from school altogether. Our English teacher was about fifteen minutes late. Miss Tolman, from what I’d noticed was a beautiful teacher with a very wild imagination. She could bring out all the hundreds of thousands of the possible meanings from a single string of words. And she never failed to appreciate the beauty of words. Besides that we believed that Miss Tolman was a hopeless romantic. She could always relate anything with love. And she believed all the abstracts are directly linked to one feeling which is love. “Today, I have news for you. I'm going to give you your first assignment of the session which needs to be done in pairs. In fact, the upcoming three to four assignments need to be done in pairs and I would suggest you to continue with same pairs throughout. Let me tell you that by the end of the session your final project you will be working on would be a Shakespeare play which would require to be done in a group. Now, I have names in these two bowls, the pink slips are containing names of the girls and the blue ones are the names of the boys in the class. One by one you may come and choose your partner.” Of course she would’ve paired boys and girls together. I honestly felt that it would’ve been better if girls were paired with girls and boys with boys. We wouldn’t have to adjust much that way. Everyone went to the table and drew a slip and from what I was observing everybody seemed quite satisfied with their partners. Soon it was my turn. I went up to the table and drew a blue slip and unfolded it. Mike Jacques. I turned around to see a masculine blond guy with sexy spectacles on sitting right next to where I sat. I walked back to my desk and smiled at him. “Too bad, I'm your partner.” He mused. “What? Why would u say that?” my voice came out more astonished than I thought. “Yeah, I'm moving out of town soon.” He told me. “What!? Why did you join in the first place?” “Oh, I didn’t know then that I might have to move.” And right then, as if he miracle was destined to happen……. Miss Tolman spoke. “It seems like the absentee today will be left out as the number of students is odd by only one. Anyone willing to take in Aaron as third to do a group?” Without a second thought my hand flew up. “I will Miss Tolman.” “Miss Hale. You’re paired up with Jacques right?” “That’s right but I might not be staying in school for long so instead of making ivory suffer I choose to withdraw as her partner.” Mike spoke up for me. Miss Tolman blinked twice before speaking again. “Well, everything seems settled then.” Yes, it does. I thought, while smiling to myself.
