As the night came to a close Tessa and David left the restaurant to head home but not more than 5 steps outside and they were being surrounded by fans of David's pushing her aside. He didn't even try to stop them, he was becoming more about his fans than his family. Tessa rubbed her belly before walking towards the waiting cab and telling the driver her address. She was going Togo home and get some rest for her dr in the morning. David either didn't notice or care to notice but he wasn't home for close to two hours after Tessa had already gone to sleep. He came in stumbling a bit before crashing on the bed in his clothes.
The next morning Tessa's alarm went off at 8am and David got mad saying, "What the hell is that going off for?"
"Dr appointment this morning. Or don't you remember?" Tessa answered.
"That's today?" Was the only thing he could muster enough energy to say.
"Yes and I'm going with or without you so you have 15 minutes to get out of bed and be presentable."
"Fine I'm getting up but after that we aren't going anywhere else but home. Got it?"
"You can come home but I have plans to go shopping for the rest of our things for the nursery."
"Whatever I'm too tired to fight about this. Can you grab me some new clothes?"David said.
"A please and thank you would be nice once and awhile."
David just glared at her as he walked to the shower to wake himself up. After getting out of shower and dressed he than headed to kitchen to grab a mug of coffee before they headed out.
The 15 minute ride to the Dr's office was slightly cold and distant. Much like the relationship was becoming lately. Tessa had a feeling that she knew why but she thought best to keep it to herself for now.
They sat in the waiting room in silence till David decided he was going to break it, "So have you decided to stop being so cold to me yet?"
Tessa looked at him like she didn't quite believe what he'd just asked her because truthfully she couldn't. "Me? The cold one right now, it's you who has been pushing me away. Driving a wedge between us when we should be enjoying this time of bonding and getting close with our baby."
"The baby isn't even born yet, how are we supposed to bond with it? Not to mention you don't want to have fun anymore, always sleeping and talking about the things we need for the baby. Never anything about what we need together or for us." David said.
