Chapter 14: Returning Home

~Seth's P. O. V.~

Mabel and I have been training for the past few months now. She is starting to keep up with me. Her hits are getting harder and her movements are improving each day. When we first started, she was soft with her punches. Would gain bruises and scrapes regularly. When I look at her now, I see the warrior in her. She had even gained muscle. I know she complained about fitting into her regular clothes, but I thought she looked sexy without clothing. We were both panting and our guards were up. She may not be a wolf yet to really hurt me, but man is she quick. Her nimbleness is why I am panting. She was getting harder to land blows on. Making me use my energy more. If I had to guess where she got it from, it's Chauncey. His blood ran through her veins after all. Before I had time to dodge, she was going in for a K.O move. Her fist hit my jaw. Making me stumble backwards.

That was it for me. I had to stop. Falling to one knee, I conceded. "Very good, May. You're getting quicker each day."

She came over to me and helped me up. "Am I?" She sounded unsure of herself.

I put my arm around her and kissed her head. "You are. I didn't have time to dodge that one."

We went inside, Corey left not too long ago. It's been quiet here. The kids made it lively and Toni's cooking made it homey. I plopped on the couch and gave out a sigh. "Nuh uh, mister." I looked at Mabel. She was staring daggers at me.

Blake: Mate is terrifying.

She stomped one foot on the ground and pointed to the bathroom. "Shower first before we relax." She crossed her arms. I gave an audible gulp and ran to the bathroom. I did not want to get my ass handed to me by a 5 foot 4.5 inch woman.

As I stood in my shower, I thought about what we had talked about at the start of her training. Our time is coming up for her and I to ready ourselves. Her request was that I change her as soon as we got home. I agreed and I won't tell her no. When the Moon Goddess tells me, I will tell Mabel what I learned about her. The fact that she wants to make the change means her bloodline will be back in werewolf hands.

Blake: Chauncey's will lives on. In our mate.

That it does. She is getting fiercer each day.

Blake: When should we go home?

At the end of this week, our deadline ends on Friday.

Blake: Right. That would mean...

On Saturday, she becomes a werewolf.

Blake: And I can meet my Orchid. He yipped in excitement. I felt him prancing around in my head. I merely snickered at his puppy-like attitude.

I got out of the shower and finished up the day. Mabel was next to take a shower. This cabin was big, but it didn't have a lot of water supply. I need to fix that. When she was done and dressed, she laid on the couch and in my lap. We were watching Tanked together. She loved seeing the different fish that would go into the tanks. I marveled at their ability to do these things in such a short amount of time. It didn't even take two episodes before Mabel fell asleep. Just a few more days. I turned off the t.v. Picking her up, I put her and myself to bed. Cuddling her from behind.

The rest of the week went by quickly. Mabel and I were packing up the car. Jericho came by two days ago to drop it off. Mabel was looking a bit down today. She stopped in her tracks and looked back at the tree. Oh. Yua. Mabel sprints over to Yua's grave and stands there for a moment. She bows her head and kneels down. Her fingers lightly touched the dirt.

"Goodbye, Laila. It will be a while before I return here. When I do, you will see a whole new side, girl. I hope your rest will be uneventful. I promise to come visit when I can.." She pressed her fore and middle finger to her lips before putting them on the cross. "Love you, sweet girl. I'll see you soon." I smiled at that. I thought she was worried about meeting the pack.

I held out my hand for her to take. She didn't hesitate. "Ready to go home?" She nodded and smiled back at me.

I opened the car door for her. "I am ready to meet my pack." She got in and I closed the door. I have to admit, I haven't driven in almost 6 months. Not for the lack of wanting to drive, Jericho won't let me drive. The fucker.

Mabel was giggling on the seat next to me. "What suddenly irritated you? Your face went smoosh." She gained a rabbit face to Mack me.

I sighed in defeat. "It's been 6 months since I have driven a car. Jericho won't ever let me. Per a contract we signed when we were kids..."

She bursts out laughing. "What kind of contract is it?"

I groaned and didn't want to say. But she is my future Luna. "When Jericho, Reed, Kaine and I were kids, we did some stupid stuff. We were about 12, maybe 13, when we took our first joy ride. I, uh, crashed my parents' Rolls Royce." Not a good day for anyone. I was punished hard. "Since that day, the three of them made a contract about me driving. It said I should never drive again and one of them is supposed to. They tease me all the time about it."

She looked at me with a smile and one raised eyebrow. "So, you were a bad boy, huh?"

I face palmed myself. "Yeah. Not a thing I like to mention." I started up the car and we began our journey home. We had to stop several times to either eat or get gas. We were talking about everything and nothing. It was nice. She said that she wanted to try more things. Do more for herself. I told her that with her speed now, she could even take on our head trainer. The shock on her face was priceless. She thought I was joking, but the fact is, that I have been training her under an Alpha's tutalage. Her strength is no longer human. When I explained that, she became silent. I was worried that I said too much.

When we pulled up to the gates, we were greeted by 2 of our warriors. "Welcome home, Alpha Seth. Welcome home, Luna Mabel." They both bowed and opened the gates.

I looked at Mabel. Her expression was one of pure joy. "Mabel. Welcome to The Crimson Moon pack. Our pack." We pulled into the hidden city. She looked like she wanted to explore the area.

We pulled up the castle and her voice went to a whole new level of high pitched. She barely waited for the car to stop before getting out and looking at it in awe. I got out and threw the keys to another warrior. Walking up to her, I took her hand and had her follow me. The sound of growling came from another girl. I looked and saw Aurelia. Her eyes were black and she was staring at Mabel. Mabel, on the other hand, didn't even hesitate.

"Is there a problem?" She crossed her arms.

Aurelia stomped up to her. "There is a problem. A weak human is standing next to my Alpha. Holding his hand!" She screamed.

Mabel shook her head and looked at me. "If she keeps this up, I will put her on her ass, babe."

I shrugged and let her do her thing. She is the next Luna and, well, she needs to assert her dominance over the Omegas. "Babe?! You don't have that right!" Mabel followed through on her promise. She kicked Aurelia's stomach and made her fall flat on her ass. It was only an instant. That's all it took.

Mabel got back in a fighting stance. "I don't know who you think you are, but I am your Luna. Show some respect."

I wrapped my arms around my woman. "That was sexy." I whispered in her ear.

Aurelia sat up and looked at me with those pathetic eyes. "Alpha Seth... I-I'm supposed to be your Luna."

Mabel laughed. "If that were the case, why didn't The Moon Goddess pair you two? I heard about women like you in a pack. Obsessive. Greedy. Out for a title. Don't kid yourself!" She screamed at her. "I may be human, but I can kick your ass any day of the week." She paused and stood straight. Nearly bumping into my head. "And get this through your head. As of tomorrow, I will be officially your future Luna."

Aurelia stood and ran off crying. I don't know why she ever thought we were mates. "It's strange. Until recently, she and I never saw each other. Never met, then suddenly, she vi's for my attention."

Mabel shrugged and started walking. "It's been a long day. Wanna snuggle and watch Tanked?" I nodded and took her hand. Well, that's a welcome I have never heard of. That was the end to an almost perfect day.
