Chapter 8: Black Wolf Pub

~Seth's P. O. V.~ "Where should I start?" I didn't know what to tell her. "How about your childhood? What did Seth love to do?" A good of a palce as any to start, I suppose. I cuddled into her, "I should start by saying I am the oldest of 3 siblings. I have 2 sisters. And what I loved to do? Anything they wanted. Going to the mall with them, the rivers, anything that they wanted and invited me on, I would do it. However, when they were still in school and I had already graduated, I often found myself at the top of any hill." I pulled out my phone and showed her pictures of the views I have seen. "Oh, wow. I bet the sunrises and sunsets were stunning." She kept scrolling through the photos. Stopping at one of them. It was of my family. She snickered. "You look just like your mom." "My mom, Victoria. My dad, Franklin. And those would be my twin sisters. Iris, she's to the left. And Tallula, she is to the right." Mabel zoomed in on the picture. Both had mates of their own. Iris is a Luna to a neighboring pack while Tallula became Beta Female to a pack near the coast. "They resemble your dad most. I have never seen eyes like your fathers. They almost look orange." She smiled at something. "Your dad and I share a trait. Raven colred hair." And that is something I loved about her. "I don't look like either of my parents. Not even a blend. Mom has blond hair while that man has red hair. Genes should have made me a strawberry blond or dirty blond." She crosses her arms. "I often wonder if I am not their true daughter." "Of course, you are. Why else would Eustace try to keep you?" She glared up at me. I put my hands up in surrender. "Though, your eyes are equally as unique as my dads. Topaz. Like you are my own jewel." I cleared my throat at that. She started laughing a little. "That was cheesy. Points for effort." If I had to guess where her looks come from, it's Isaac himself. He was said to have unique features. Even in wolf form. "Sir? We're apporoaching the diner." Jericho turned into the driveway. Finding parking wasn't hard. We were practically first. Mabel got off me and opened the door. Yua jumped out and started to sniff the grass nearby. "Hold on. I need to feed her and water her first. Um..." She looked to Jericho. "Jericho Kingsley, ma'am." He bowed to her. "Can you crack the windows for her? I am sure they won't allow her inside." She points to the doors and sure enough, only service dogs are allowed in. He nodded and turned the car on. Once the windows were rolled down enough, Mabel poured some dog food in Yua's bowl and had water at the ready. She placed both on the floor of the car. "Alright." She shut the door and grabbed a bag for Yua's business. She was doing a really good job at taking care of her. I am honestly impressed since this is her first pet. Throwing the bag away, she took out a small bottle of watermellon scented hand sanitizer. "I'll properly wash my hands inside." "Very well, shall we then?" Everyone nodded. We entered the diner and Mabel quickly found the restroom. While Mabel was in the restroom, a petite woman, probably around Mabel's age, came up to us. She was blushing and twirling her hair as she eye f****d me. "Hello, welcome to Black Wolf Pub. How many?" She bit her lip and started swaying a bit. "14." I answered sternly. Thankfully, Rox cut in. "Yes, we are a party of 14." This wasn't a human diner. s**t. I smelled wolves everywhere. Including this woman. Roxy smiled sarcastically at her. "I only count 13. Is one member late?" I let out a soft growl to not alert Mabel. I got closer to her and leaned into her ear. "I don't know what pack you are from, but you should know who I am." I let Blake surface a little. "I am Alpha Lakeland." Her body tensed up. "Y-yes. Alpha." She quietly said. "My mate is in the restroom. You will treat her with respect or so help me, I will contact your pack and let them know why you were fired." I huffed out. "Give me your pack name." It wasn't a request. I commanded her. An alpha command, even from a visiting Alpha, cannot be ignored. "Diamond Lake Pack, Alpha." She quivered. "Ah." I stood straight. "Alpha Gil's pack. Keep your flirting to other alphas. I am taken." I growled once more at her. Keeping my voice low. When Mabel came back out, I smiled and held out my hand for her. She took and leaned into me. The petite girl plastered a fake smile on her and led us to a set of long tables. There everyone sat. Another waiter came by. Thankfully, a man. "Hello, my name is Russel, I will be your server today. What can I get started for you." Thank goddess, some modicome of professionalism. Roxy went first, "I will have a peppermint tea, thank you." He wrote it down in his note book. Then her assistant, "I will just have water, thank you." Mabel looked at her with a curious look. She looked like she wanted to ask why just water. Instead, she kept it to herself. "I will have a Dr. Pepper, thank you." I ordered my drink. Mabel looked a little lost. She didn't know what she liked, did she? "Um... May I try this Itallian Soda? Strawberry?" She looked at the menu. "Of course. Large, medium or small, miss?" I noticed that she bit the inside of her cheek. "Large, please?" I answered for her. She mouthed 'Thank you.' The rest of them gave their drink orders and the waiter left. "What have you drank before?" Letting my curiosity get the better of me. "Only Earl Gray Tea and water. Occassionally, I would have the option of just plain black tea, but I always turned it down to not get into trouble. My life had been routine. Get up, do my business, get dressed, read what books I had. Eat the food that was provided, retire to my tea room after lunch and go to bed right after dinner." She answered. She was telling the truth, her heart rate remained the same. Damn that Jackson. Never letting her have any fun. If he ever crosses paths with me again, I will let Blake have full control and give him what he deserves. "So, wait, you haven't had anything else?" Roxy was downright surprised. "That's so cruel. Well, you're with us now. And Corey is going to meet us at our destination." She winked at Mabel, who returned it with a genuine smile. Mabel leaned onto me, "I told myself this morning that I would show my true self. My father nor Eustace will hold me back anymore. That means, I am going to try different things. I want to be me, not the girl that was never allowed to do anything." I rubbed her arm a little. "I like that. Maybe later, you and I can take monthly shopping trips." Roxy giggled. "You know? Yes. I would love that. I hope I am not jumping to conclusions here, but I already think of you as my best friend." Mabel beamed a smile at everyone. This is good, I want her to reclaim that glow that was stolen from her. She is my future and I know she will make a great Luna one day. "Have you thought about what you want to do now?" Delta Jericho asked her. She put her forefinger across her lips. Thinking hard on that question. "I would like to take time and travel. And go on dates, "She looked up at me, "With you, Seth. Again, I don't know why, but you do something to me that I can't explain." She smiled and leaned her head on my shoulder. Delta Jericho: She already feels the bond? Me: So it seems. I am happy that she does. Delta Jericho: Sir, you know what this means, right? I gave him a questionable look, If she already feels it after a few days, she's going to be one powerful wolf. Most human mates don't feel the mate bond until month 3. My eyes widened. He's right. Isaac was also a strong wolf. That's probably why she feels it so clearly. Me: We need to keep this under wraps. She knows nothing of our kind. Delta Jericho: I understand, Alpha. I hope The Luna does in fact become our Luna. Even I can see that she will do good things for us. Jericho smiled at me and winked. The waiter came back with all of our drinks as asked what we would like, again Mabel got stuck on what she wanted. After about 2 minutes, she decided on Buffalo Wings. I was suprised, "Very well, then. I will be back with your orders." The waiter smiled at everyone. I noticed that he wasn't tryng to flirt with anyone. He had no ring, no mark and no scent of another. I was quite pleased with his professionalism. "Before you do, Russel, where do you come from?" I had to keep it cryptic. "I come from..." He looked at Mabel, Roxy's assistant and my assistant. "The JWP." Ah, The Juniper Woods Pack. I haven't talked to their current Alpha before. I think his name is Patch Hawthorn. I nodded and smiled at him. About 25 minutes later, our food was brought out and everyone ate in silence. Mabel made moaning sounds as she dug into her chicken. I almost laughed at how cute it was for her to choose what she wanted to eat for a change. The 6 she ordered was apparently plenty for her to eat. Then again, she didn't really eat much to begin with. However, when it came to her Itallian Soda, she downed more than one. The table next to us became litered with many of the empty glasses. "These are delicious!" She exclaimed. More to herself than anyone. She downed another one and gave out a long sigh of happiness. We all laughed a little. "What?" She didn't notice that she had 5 or 6 of them. "Mabel, you have had several of them." I point to the table behind us. She blushed out of embarrassment. "It's okay to love something, just don't over do it." I chuckled. Pulling her closer to me. "I'm sorry. I forgot that they weren't refillable." I kissed the top of her head. "No need to be sorry. I just don't want you to get sick from the sugar." I explained while chuckling a little. After our plates were cleared, we decided to stay a little longer and have some sweets. Mabel looked at their dessert menu and ordered us a few pies. Including, Cherry, Blackberry, Pumpkin and Marionberry pes. She wanted us all to enjoy something. We finished off the entire desserts. I also told her to wait in the car with Jericho. I needed to talk to Russel for a moment. The others left the restaurant too. "Russel." I called out to him. He came over and bowed his head in respect. "Alpha Lakeland." I motioned for him to stand straight. "I will give Patch a positive review of your services. You were professional the entire time. Thank you for that." He again bowed to me. "Thank you, Alpha." I nodded to him. Then I looked over to the petite waitress. "What is her name?" I asked coldly. All she did this entire afternoon was give Mabel death glares. "Jennifer, sir." I nodded and thanked him. "Jennifer Sol." That's all I needed. ~Delta Jericho's P. O. V.~ I still couldn't believe that woman. We all saw her giving Mabel evil glares. I know my alpha told her to back off and respect the Luna, but all she did was treat her with utter disrespect. I thought for sure Alpha Seth would do something to her. When he came out of the restaurant, he motioned for me to come out of the car. I looked in the rear view mirror to make sure my Luna was okay. She had closed her eyes and had a smile on her face. Gentely petting her dog. I knew I wasn't going to be far from her. Just 5 feet from the car. I got out and bowed to my Alpha. "Jennifer Sol, the girl who kept staring daggers at my woman? Contact Alpha Gil about this Omega. He will be displeased that one of his own disrespected a visiting Alpha's Luna." He said quietly to me. I nodded. "When would you like this done, Alpha?" He looked behind me and saw Mabel still enjoying herself. "When I get inside the car. I don't want Mabel to hear. Gil runs a very tight ship. Tell him to call me within the next few days too. We need to discuss a treaty now that I have my Luna." Again I nodded. He kept his voice low before going to the car. She snuggled into him. Finally. I thought. Alpha Seth is barely 22 years old, but when he turned 18 and his mate never showed, we all feared that he wouldn't find her. I see how he looks at her; the admiration, the love, the caring nature of a wolf's mate. I am happy for my Alpha. Even though, she is human, no one in The Crimson Moon Pack would think less of her. Gamma Noah found his mate and she was human. Of course, she freaked out when he told her the truth. I hope this journey ends soon. I missed my mate. Being Delta Female, she has responsibilites to the pack and one of those happens to be tending to the Luna. She is currently away with Luna Iris' due date fast approaching. So, we don't get to see each other often. I wonder how Alpha Grant is holding up. A soon-to-be father, I bet he's freaking out. I pulled out my phone and dialed Alpha Gil. *RING, RING* "Hello, Alpha Gil speaking." Oh, good, he's at his office. "Hello, Alpha Gil. I am Delta Jericho of The Crimson Moon Pack." I responded quickly. "Delta Jericho. How is Alpha Seth?" "He is doing well, he just found his mate, whom is human." I smiled inwardly. "Well, then, a congradulations is in order. Tell him that I will send him a gift." "Yes, Alpha Gil. I called in regards to my Luna." I laced my voice with a little anger. "Oh? What happend?" "One of your Omega's, Miss. Jennifer Sol, showed disrespect to my Luna while she was on shift at her job." I heard him breathing in slowly but sharply. "Jennifer Sol, you say?" He asked with a hint of anger too. "That is correct." "Is she still at work?" He asked. "Yes, sir." "Jennifer is a recent rogue we took in. I gave her the full details on pack politics and I said to her with utmost importance, that she is to respect any and all Alpha's and Luna's." He sounded pissed off at this point. "I understand. My Alpha would also like to discuss a treaty with you, sir. And asked that I relay this, he wishes for you to call him within the next few days." I don't know what is going to happen with this Jennifer chick, but she wasn't any of my business. "Very well. I will call him on the Wednesday of next week. Please let him know that." "Yes, sir." Alpha Gil seemed like a pleasent Alpha. But I wouldn't want to be on his bad side either. "Again, tell him I say congrats, Delta Jericho. Have a good rest of your day." "And you as well, sir." He hung up the call. I couldn't say anything in front of our future Luna, so I mind linked Alpha Seth. Me: I have an update, Alpha. Alpha Seth: Let's hear it. Me: Alpha Gil sends his congradulations on you finding Luna Mabel, for starters. Alpha Seth: That's generous of him. What else? Me: Apprently, Jennifer Sol is a recent rogue he took in. She will be punished for her actions. Alpha Seth: Good, good. I won't tolerate any mistreatment of my woman. Me: He also said that he will call you next Wednesday about the treaty, sir. Alpha Seth: Very good. You did well today, Delta Jericho. I will make sure that you and Annabell get a months worth of vaction when we return. I smiled at him and he smiled back at me. I got in the car and to no ones surprise, Luna Mabel fell asleep on Alpha Seth. Food comas, the best coma there is. Her dog decided to jump in the passenger seat next to me. I think her name is Laila? I don't know. She seems like a good dog, though. She sat down and just looked forward. "Let's get back on the road. And go the long way. We don't want Eustace to find her now." My Alpha whispered. I nodded. We got back to it. I kept looking back at my leaders. I hope she accepts his wolf too.
