Chapter 5 - Who is she?

Logan’s POV

Charles the Alpha King and I had a long talk. He wasn't 100% sure who my mate was but he had a good idea.  But it left more questions in my mind.  Why was she there in the prison? Why wasn't she with her pack? What happened to her?.  Charles agreed we should keep her name of the list of rescued until we could get answers and agreed to stay away until we could come up with them.  She would be fragile and without knowing what happened it was best to keep things on the down low.  I would speak with Chris in tomorrow for now I just wanted to lay next to her, just her mer presents beside me calmed me into a peaceful sleep.  

I woke up as the sun started streaming into the room.  I quickly got up and closed the curtains to let my mate sleep and got ready.  I went into my office and linked Chris to come see me with the list of rescued and their status.  I left my bedroom door open so I could hear if my mate stirred but I figured it would be at least another two hours before she woke.  Angela came into the office with Chris and offered to watch my mate while Chris and I went over the list and reports.  

“Morning Alpha, did you miss telling me about your rescue last night” Chris grinned at me.  “Ah yes that's something we need to discuss” I replied.  “Who is she'' Chris asked.  I can't tell you that cause I honestly don't know but she is my mate”.  “Logan that's great!” Chris said.  “Not so fast she’s still young from what I can tell I dont think she’s shifted yet so she won’t know yet” I sighed.  “Chris I need you to keep her rescue off the list, I don't know her details but something tells me something isn't right about her being held there” “Sure Alpha but what about the King?” Chris asked.  “Charles and I spoke he’s aware and has the same concerns, until we know more this is between you, me, Angela, Dean and Dr James, I don’t want the other pack members to know yet”.  “Yes sir”.  “Lets go over the list shall we”. 

Chris and I poured over the list and it appeared everyone rescued was in good condition physically, mentally was another story.  “Thanks Chris I will get this list to Charles and we can start sending them home, make sure everyone is comfortable until then” “Anything else Alpha?” Chris asked.  “Yes I don't want to be disturbed today until I get things situated with my mate”  “Sounds good I'll bring your meals personal”  Chris left and Angela came in aware Chris was gone.  

“How is she?” I asked.  “Still sleeping” I hung my head thinking of what she must have gone through.  “Logan, did you speak to the King?”  “Yes, he has a idea who she is but we both baffled why she was there?”  “Really” Angela said as she sat.  I explained to her everything Charles and I had talked about.  I wasn't ready to share this information with my Beta or Gamma but Angela was different, she was the person I talked to about everything and I knew she could keep a secret.  

“Logan I would like to stay with you so when she wakes up if you need any help I can be here” “Angela thank you that would be great but try and stay hidden I don't want to overwhelm her” I said, “I agree” Angela said as she picked up a book to read and I got to sending the rescued list to the King.  

It wasn’t long after I finished sending the list did I hear something from my room.  Angela got up and went to the couch that was against the wall to make sure she wouldn’t be seen if my mate peered into my office and I waited pretending to look over reports.  I didn't want to just run into the room and scare her. I wanted to give her a chance to take in her surroundings and find me.
