Chapter Twelve
A press conference wasn't how she wanted to spend her morning after the night she'd shared with Darius. If she'd had her way, she'd be spending it with him so they could talk more about everything they'd shared. A small part of her had thought she'd feel different now that they'd finally slept together, but it hadn't worked like that. Probably because this was all part of a gradual healing process, rather than something that happened magically.
But they'd have to talk more about it once they'd both gotten home from their respective duties. He had work, and she had to deal with a press conference to try and flush Brendon out from where ever he was hiding.
