Chapter Fourteen
Much to Cissy's surprise, the paranormal court system appeared to resemble the human one in just about every way she was aware of. Not that she had a huge amount of knowledge of it, just what she'd picked up from TV shows and movies.
But she supposed that made sense when the system had been set up by Rory's friend, Arabella Reed. Apparently, she'd worked as a defence attorney in the human courts keeping an eye out for cases that appeared as if they were paranormal crimes being blamed on humans. It sounded like a thankless job, but then again, Arabella had ended up designing a lot of the paranormal justice system as a result, so maybe it hadn't been a problem after all.
