Candlelight flickered across the room, giving the whole place a warm and welcoming glow.
"We can put the big light on if you want," Darius offered.
She shook her head. "It's nice."
He nodded, but didn't seem convinced.
She reached across the table and placed her hand over his, giving it a quick squeeze. "I promise, I like it. This is my home." She frowned. "Our home? You don't spend much time at your own place anymore."
"I can go there if you want..."
"No," she blurted. "I don't want that."
