Chapter Eight
The Council room felt very full with all five of them in it. She wasn't sure how she felt about that. For a while it had just been her, Darius, and Rory. But now with Devina and Brendon, it was suddenly a lot more crowded.
But this was the way it was supposed to be. She'd probably have to keep reminding herself of that until it proved useful to have this many people in the room.
"Did you get a chance to look at the report I sent?" Devina asked, calling Cissy's attention back to the conversation at hand.
She supposed this was a good example of how useful the varied Council was. Without Devina, they wouldn't have nearly as much information about the victim in the hospital.
"I did," she assured the other woman. "What about everyone else?"
