Chapter Sixteen It was good to feel clean again. After going back to Alvin's den, it had been all she'd been able to think about. Thankfully, the outside grime was nothing a hot shower couldn't fix and the water had washed away all kind of much in the process. Her emotions were another matter, but she wasn't going to dwell on them too much for a fear that they'd become too much to handle once more. She needed some time to process what she'd seen at the den and how she'd felt to be back there. Maybe once the man they'd captured was dealt with she'd feel better. Richard had offered to tell her his name, but she felt that it was better not to know. He could be a nameless demon of her nightmares and nothing more. Giving him a name would risk giving him power over her that she didn't want to
