Chapter Two

Brianna got to her minimalist, pastel themed room with plants and flower pots in the corner, a long cream colored curtain fell from the tall walls of the room down the floor. A table just before her bed had scented candles on them and an alarm clock. The floor had a cosy carpet, A couch sat at the other end of the room just before a door leading to her closet. Her room was filled with good, fresh air giving life, nature and warmth.

Anna immediately sank into her bed with her hands wide open as she went through what happened that night. She had never been kissed before and had thought about how her first kiss would be but that happened within the twinkle of her eyes, she touched her lips and remembered Austin’s tender lips, she thought of a while and fell asleep with her dress and makeup on.

Brianna Wills was the daughter of Lord and Lady Wills. Lord Wills was a judge who had many investments and has formed alliances with the most influential politicians and businessmen all over America. He got married to Mariana. Mariana was from a wealthy Spanish family but she died of Asthma when Anna was three years old…Anna could barely remember her face.

It was suffocating living without a mother but her father provided her with the best of everything and she loved him so very much. Anna grew up most times alone with Ms Kate their chief housekeeper who she took as a mother. Her father was not always at home due to tight schedules and travel.

Anna knew more than kids who grew up with their mothers. She was so intelligent and smart yet mannered, people said she was too mannered for a billionaire’s daughter. She was in her last year of high school and was almost ready to see the world. Her dreams were to become like her father and have a happy life together with a loving husband. Anna had few friends and spoke to a few people. She took her classes seriously and was quite popular for her Intellect and fame.

‘’Your food is ready Ma’am’’ said Ms Kate early in the morning, Anna slept Off almost immediately thinking about everything that happened between her and Austin at the party yesterday. She rubbed her eyes while Struggling to open her eyes as she did, a flash of bright sunshine made her pupils contract.

‘’Ok, I’ll be down in a jiffy’’ she told Ms Kate As she untucked herself out of the blanket. Anna Quickly dressed up, she wore her well ironed School uniform, obviously made from a very costly material.

Manchester High was known for its prestige and how it schooled many billionaire kids. Anna doesn’t even want to go to school. She was pretty sure that she would meet that guy from yesterday night.

‘’I still remember his face I just have to avoid him’’Anna motivated herself as she hung her black school bag on her shoulder and made her way to the dining hall for breakfast.

The hallways were quite busy because it was the first day of the week.Anna stepped in a bit tensed for the first time ever…The students were preparing for their prom.

‘’Anna! Anna!! Howdy’’Nora was waving to Anna from one end of the hallway, they sat on a bench which was very weird to Anna. I mean why not get useful?

‘’Nora, can I talk to you for a sec?’’ She said dragging Nora to a corner to tell her what happened.

‘’You passed out yesterday’’ Anna told Nora who acted indifferent since her housekeeper told her earlier

‘’Yh, I had too much drink, what of you? You made lots of new friends?’’

‘’Nah, something actually happened, I kissed a guy!’’ Anna said shutting her eyes in disgust.

‘’Damn girl, you made out? With who? Where?’’

‘’I don’t know who’’Anna said

‘’I know he’s from our school but I don’t know his name’’Anna was so disappointed that her first kiss was with a total stranger.

‘’We have to find this guy’’Nora said

‘’What for? I don’t want to see him

‘’Brrrrrr’’ rang the school bell.’’Ok Nora TTYL, I have Spanish class now’’

‘Later lover girl’’Nora teased as they went opposite directions.

‘’What was our last topic of discussion’’ Mr Brad asked no one in particular

As Anna entered and sat down she perceived a very familiar and homely scent and immediately she turned around her eyes met those eyes she felt connected with yesterday. She immediately pulled her eyes away ‘It’s him, It’s really him’’ she muttered to herself.

After a long class, Mr Brad was about to leave and reminded them of the test they would be having in their next class.

‘’Brace yourselves’’ were his last words before he finally left.

Anna found no other class difficult except for Spanish, for no reason she wanted to learn her mom’s language.

‘’Hi Anna’’ came the soothing tone of Austin’s voice. Anna felt butterflies in her stomach. She looked at him again

‘’Can we talk after class?’’ Austin told her and she acted like she didn’t hear him.

The class that Anna hated felt the worse that day she regretted entering the class that day. Austin seemed very relaxed.

After what seemed like ages the class finally ended. Anna carried her backpack and zoomed off…Austin quickly followed her and tapped her shoulder she turned and could even meet his eyes again.

‘’I’m Austin, I know you are Anna and I like you’’ Austin said with a smile on his handsome face. Those words came like an eruption into her ears…She still couldn’t wrap her head around

‘’Was she being asked out? What was going on?’’

‘’You seem a little tensed’’Austin asked

‘’Nah I’m good, but I just have to run because I have to prepare for the test Because I’m not so good with Spanish, and I have to maintain good grades’’, Anna complained

‘’ You are good with everything, I guess you will still pass the test regardless’’

‘’ I am literally not good in Spanish, I am taking the class because my mom is from Spain and I want to learn her language, I am actually struggling with it’’Anna said with a grin on her face.

‘’I can help you with Spanish’’ Austin said with much confidence in his eyes.

‘’Oh, that would be very nice, i appreciate it’’Anna was happy that a least she had help not from just anybody but a guy she just met and found attractive.

‘’So after classes tomorrow at The Hills library? give me a call’’ Austin said while collecting her phone and punching some digits in the phone.

‘’Ok, see ya! Thanks’’ Anna said and Austin smiled and left her standing in awe.

Austin was a mature, Passionate and talented painter. He loved art so much and was paving the way with it. He is a very young artist who also helped out in running the family business as the only son of his father. He was so comfortable and private. He had liked Anna for a very long time but Anna was too engrossed with academics.

He felt very good that he finally had the opportunity to ask Anna out. He wasn’t intimidated but he just hadn’t been in a close space to tell Anna how he felt about her.

He sat in front of his cotton canvas board trying to complete his painting but he was distracted by thinking about Anna.

The next day, Anna had all her classes and looked forward to learning Spanish with Austin.

After school, she headed down to the city library.

The arena was usually quiet and cool. She entered and went to the shelf while waiting for Austin. No sooner than she entered Austin came in looking good as usual…Anna waved to make Austin see where she was. Austin walked up to her and her body was feeling those emotions she felt that night.

‘Let’s settle at this corner’’ Austin said, Anna followed his lead as there sat at a corner in the library.

Austin spoke Spanish so well and Anna could barely understand what he was saying as she gazed through his shiny, light brown hair which complemented his brown eyes, he made several eye contact with him and she was sure she wanted to kiss him again.

As words came out of Austin’s lips, Anna leaned in and kissed him…She felt confident and connected.

She looked him in the eyes and for unknown reasons her heart was beating fast for this brown-haired Spanish nerd in front of her….
