Lucas picked me up late, on our last day of uni before Winter break, 3 months in, and we had started to develop a routine of car pooling together and grabbing coffee along the way, always getting an extra one for Penny, who had fast become a good friend. We'd introduced Penny to Kate and Alex, too, and she seemed to fit right in, helping Kate set up her small clothing business, which was beginning to bring in a bit of extra cash for the little family.
