I stopped for a second trying to catch my breath. I should have brought a bottle of water with me. This way I wouldn’t almost be passing out.
After a few minutes, I tried taking another step but I felt like my eyes were closing and the floor was closer to me, but I never touched the ground.
I fell inside someone's warm embrace.
“I got you princess” I heard James' voice below me.
“What…?” I tried talking but he interrupted me by placing a bottle of something sweet on my lips.
I coughed. My throat was so sore that even the liquid hurt when I tried taking it.
“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have put you through this on your first day” he whispered, removing a strand of hair from my face.
