judge Monica's POV*****

I sat in my office reflecting on the events of the pass few days, everything is going according to plan and if we things keep going this way project G.C will be in progress soon.

now to choose a suitable candidate for the post of the governor. i need to appoint the most loyal amongst the CIRCLE. one that won't oppose me, after careful consideration i came up with my candidate but i won't disclose him not until the time is right.

from what i have been told so far the governor's death is believed to be natural so the family won't be having an investigation. all she has to do is to wait for a while then she will bring up the issue of having a governor. many would be expecting her to run for the position but they would receive the shock of their life's when she declares she will be backing someone up instead.

and he called me useless, i couldn't help the smile that seem to suddenly invade my lips.

i stood up and walk to one of the many cupboard in my office, i opened it and brought out his picture guess who is useless now father. i promise i will show you, i promise this town will forget about you and my name will live on. i will be worshipped, i will be treated like a god and you will have no option but to watch me.

you will watch me snatch everything i want same way i snatched your life.

I dropped his picture in the bin, which is what he deserves. i grabbed my phone to get the latest update on Marcus. i know trouble when i see one and i know he would want to get as many dirty as possible as he is very good at what he does. so i know he won't just sit still. i need to come up with a way to get him under my wings. and i think i might just know how. smirking as Rose comes to mind.

I sighed as i sat down, my men still couldn't get enough on him but not to worry they is still enough time. I have a case in two days i need to prepare as the presiding judge. the case has to do with one of my minors but just to show the people am fair i won't be favoring him though he will be compensated.

as i was going through documents my assistant came in to tell me i have a visitor. i told her to let the person in after confirming who it was.

third person's POV *********

Sean Paul walked in looking all gracious in his white suit, he knew that after the death of the governor he would be the next candidate Monica would have in mind.

he has been with her the longest built this empire with her, he has always been by her side and answers whenever she called.

many people think he started his gang and is the brain behind it, but what they don't know is she is the one behind everything. she built the gang and is still the leader till date, but she doesn't show her face. she gives her orders from the office and does all the funding. this is another reason why she has control over the city.

while she portrays this mother Mary image to the public to gain their love and trust, she does other things underground to gain control.

Monica relaxed more into her seat while Paul made himself comfortable while sitting. to what do i owe this visit? Monica asked with a smirk. she knew the reason for the visit, this is exactly why she chose him, he was and is efficient.

Paul stood up and started walking to her mini bar that she had in her office, he picked a whiskey bottle and poured himself a drink. " care for a glass? " he asked her. "No" was her simple reply.

why do i feel like you are not happy to see me? he faked a sad face. well if you have nothing important to say to me i need to get back to work, she adjusted her eyeglass and went to back to reading the paper she was holding before he walked in. she knew he needed something but if she hadn't given him the cold shoulder he would have first asked her out on a date before stating his purpose for visiting. he does that every time and now she could pretend him easily.

well Paul said going back to his sitting position i will go straight to the point. I want you to pick me as your next candidate for the governorship election. if you should make a public statement that you are supporting me then am a 100% sure i will be the next governor. plus we could have our G.C within a year once am on sit.

And i also believe am your most trusted Allie in the whole six. but i know you and i know you always think differently so am just making sure you know, he winked at her and earned a grin from her.

well you do know me well Paul, but am not revealing who am choosing to you. it will be revealed soon when the CIRCLE meets.

Paul just stared at her for a while then he sighed. he got up and adjusted his suit, okay Monica its time to go to the orphanage Ariel and Newton are already waiting for you. oh my i completely forgot, she grab her bag and they both headed out.

immediately she got to the orphanage Ariel came to her to greet her, she then gave her an already written speech and a list that contains names of some of the kids so she could memorizes and pretend to be acquainted with them.

while Newton personally came with some cops to act as her guard, Ariel and her team already set up everything needed for filming.

she walked in graciously and greeted everyone. she carried the kids whose news she has memorized and answer questions about them. she smiled shamelessly and told the interviewer and she pays attention to the kids and their needs. she even proved it by calling a good number of kids by their names and named their favorite foods, colour, cartoon etc. but all these was fake and she couldn't wait to get this over with she can't stand being around the noisy kids.

after taking a few pictures and giving out gifts she was asked to do a quick interview which she agreed too although it was her plan all along.

in the interview she was asked about her recent case, the orphanage and her personal businesses. the interviewer called her a lifesaver and also showed her a few good comments about her on social media. she just laughed and said she wasn't any of those things she is just glad to work for her country and she enjoys helping people even if it means spending all her heritage.

the interviewer went forward to tell her that the remaining three questions are the hottest topic and that she hopes Monica will give a since reply because the public is so eager to know.

this made her mood change but she was a master at being emotionless so nobody noticed.

the first question is, we have heard several things that the supreme court has called you serval times to come and work with them but you keep declining. seeing how that's a greet push for your career the public is wondering why you keep rejecting it?

she felt slightly uncomfortable she wasn't suppose to ask her this but she recovered herself quickly and gave a simple reply. like i said earlier i love my state so much and would love to give back to the community i don't think becoming more famous or earning more will make me feel better than i already do.

second question, what do you think about the governor's sudden death?

now this was the question she had wanted them to ask. while from what i heard he died of natural cause. its a shame though he was a nice man and he made a wonderful governor. he will be missed greatly. she tried to put on a sad face.

you were friends with him right ? the interviewer went onto say? "yes" we were and its truly a tragedy but his family won't lack anything i will make sure of that.

"okay" that brings us to our third and final question. will you be running for governor or do you already have someone in mind?

now she was convinced they were trying to play her, this question shouldn't be asked. she will have to

teach this noisy lady a lesson later she thought to herself.

well am not running that's for sure and i don't think its time for all that yet we just lost our governor it isn't even up to four days yet. she smirked two can play this game for sure.

okay, the people just wanted to know. thank you very much for your time judge Monica.

And with that the interview was over. immediately Monica got into she car she requested for hand sanitizer, she then called Ariel to find out what kind of trick her subordinate was playing. she told Ariel to fire her if necessary.
