Chapter 2: The Perfect Stranger

"Grace, is my appointment with the Metro Theater confirmed?" Sera asked her secretary as she fixes her make up, preparing for a meeting. She doesn't have to do much about make ups. Her naturally curved pouty lips just need a light touch of tint as it appears pinkish already.

She got stuck in a heavy traffic on her way to he site. ArchEmpire is planning to acquire the contract for one of the oldest museum's reconstruction and this meeting is very important . Memories of her late boss came to her. The old CEO will be very pleased to see how they got the chance to bid for this project.

" I have to call him and inform that I'm running late," her thoughts as she dialled. She heard that the Metro chairman is all about professionalism and punctuality.She doesn't want to get on his bad side.

"Hello, Brandon speaking" the voice from the other line.

Sera froze for a second. The male voice on the phone seems to have touched her whole being just by one word- HELLO.

This is Sera Matner from ArchEmpire, I apologize for running late, traffic is really bad, it isn't usually like this at this hour and--- beep. The man hung up while he stammers, explaining.

Sera couldn't still grasp the situation. Did he just hung up on her while she was talking?

"What a nasty jerk!" as she smashed the steering wheel in annoyance.

Unsure as she was, she carefully parked at the site and hoping that the guy she was meeting is still here. She rushes while brushing off the wrinkled skirt and suddenly bumped into something- actually, into someone.

"Are you blind?" a low, cold manly voice coming from someone who is standing right in her face, said.

"You don't want a fly diving in your mouth," the man said again. Only then she realized that she has her mouth wide open, staring at the man's face, bewitched.

"Oh,oh, sorry, sorry, am in a rush", as she tried to collect her composure. Then, walked past through the guy without looking back, in a total embarassment.

It was weird, but she heard the man said, "I know"

The meeting place was at the site's cafeteria and Sera scanned the whole area but the guy she was about to meet did really leave.

"Ah well,they will call when they need us," she told herself. It was a good project that she can't let go so she promised to make it up for the next time.

She went back immediately to the office and the secretary rushed to her in a nervous voice."Ma'am, someone is looking for you" she stammers. "I mean , our new CEO wants you in his office right now.

"Calm down ,Grace, tell me slowly. Although she has a slight idea that Brandon Wills, the son of the late CEO is coming around this week to take over the management position that his father left.
