I’m so sorry for being gone. I can’t promise I’ll be back permanently but I hope the little chapters I throw out here and there can suffice for now. Your comments mean so much to me and I can’t thank you enough for not giving up on my work. ————————————————————- 'Okay, so here's a list of things that she would eat almost every time. Spaghetti is her favourite. She's very picky with her food so don't loss this list. It'll come in handy.' Lincoln said and slide the paper towards Dylan who was sitting on the other side of the kitchen counter. The next morning came rather quickly. Neither Lincoln nor Dylan got any sleep. They spent the night cuddled up next to each other in silence with Abby sleeping between them. Lincoln made sure to savour the moment of them being close since he knew that it would be awhile before they are going to be together again. According to Emmanuel, a car will be on its way to pick Dylan and Abby up around noon so Lincoln had spent the entire morning teaching Dylan how to care for Abby. 'She doesn't like eggs in her breakfast. Although she will take it sometimes but only if it's fully cooked. Now, here's her daily routine. I tried to simplify it as best I can since you've got work so-' 'Lincoln I think I know what to do. Besides, I'm a doctor for Littles.' Dylan said softly. He could tell Lincoln was slightly panicking with how quick he was talking and the list of things he has prepared for Dylan to take with him. 'Abby gets very particular with some things. She's not the easiest to care for.' Lincoln said worriedly, looking at Dylan with uncertainty in his eyes. Lincoln is very protective of Abby and he's really the only one who knew how to fully take care of her since he never allowed anybody else to be her caretaker. 'I know. And I'm sure I can ask her if there's anything she likes me to do for her. She'll be fine. You have nothing to worry about.' Lincoln took a deep breath and sighed before rubbing his hands on his face. 'Just let me go through these things with you so I feel assured.' 'Okay, fine. Continue.' Dylan smiled. He liked to see this side of Lincoln since he rarely gets to witness the nervous side of the normally confident prince. It was cute. 'So, when you put her to bed you have to hold her until she's fallen asleep, she doesn't like to be left alone. So only leave when you're sure she's asleep. She's also a very light sleeper so be really quiet at night unless you want to spend the next hour convincing her to go back to bed.' 'Oh and she's going to have a bit of trouble adjusting to living in a new house so...just don't leave her alone anywhere. Make sure she knows where you are at all times.' 'I got it. I won't leave her alone.' 'Also, one last very important thing. She's not a normal little, so she doesn't really understand Little caretaker dynamics so she will tend to do some things herself or try to be independent. Make sure she doesn't do anything of that sort.' 'Why not?' Dylan asked. 'There's a possibility that will just lead her to lose her headspace and I don't want that happening.' Dylan thought over it and he understood where Lincoln was coming from. Abby was never acting little like the other Littles so the dynamics of little caretaker relationships were never established to her. She will mature like every other normal human being if allowed the chance to. Dylan was conflicted with the idea of not allowing her to mature. Abby never consented to being a little so there was no reason for her to actually stay in a little headspace. 'Lincoln...don't you think it would be better if she grows out of her little headspace? I mean...she was never meant to be a little to begin with.' Dylan said, making sure to be cautious since he knows Lincoln may misunderstand. 'Why would you say that?' Lincoln asked with furrowed brows. 'I'm just saying...Abby isn't really a little. I mean she became one by accident, so do you think it's fair to stunt her maturity?' Dylan questioned. Most Littles have a little headspace along with their normal headspace where they act their age. That's how Littles are meant to be. I'm Abby's case, she is different. Lincoln had made the decision to completed avoid that topic and treat Abby as a full Little without the option for her to get out of her headspace. Lincoln looked to be thinking before shaking his head. 'I don't want to think about that right now.' he whispered and turn around to prepare Abby her bottle for the morning. Dylan decided that since Lincoln had already got a lot on his mind, he would drop the topic for now. 'Did Emmanuel mention any plans to get you out of this yet? 'No. But sending you home would help keep your family at bay and slow down any chaos they plan on starting.' 'You don't have to worry about them. The second I get home I'll talk to my mother about us.' 'You will do no such thing. I can't risk them turning against you. You've got to stay on their good side. You're the only person now that Abby will be safe with.' Lincoln said sternly which made Dylan reconsider his plan to speak with his family. He loved Lincoln and we wanted everyone to know. It's been awhile since he had been genuinely happy in his love life and it was disheartening that he couldn't pursue their relationship the way he wanted to. If it was up to him they would be living under the same roof and caring for Abby together. 'I didn't think about that.' Dylan said softly after awhile. 'Dylan, Abby is your little now. Whatever decision you make you have to take her into account. Wether it's safe for her or not.' Lincoln said. He would be lying if he said he fully trusted Abby with Dylan. In terms of her health and well-being, Dylan was the perfect person to care for her. But in terms of her safety when it comes to their society, Dylan is ignorant to how to keep a little from the dangers of the public, especially with both their high profile family names. All eyes are on them constantly. One wrong move in public and it would end up in all the tabloids. 'I'm sorry.' Dylan replied. Lincoln sighed out and went over to give the doctor a loving hug. 'Don't worry about it. I'll find a way out of this. For now just stay low and take care of our baby.' Lincoln said and kissed the top of Dylan's head. 'I promise, we'll be okay.' ————————————————- Abby stood in front of the car unmoving. Her face was emotionless as she looked at the strange man in a suit grab their luggage and putting it into the boot of the car one by one. Just minutes ago, Lincoln had explained the situation to her and had informed her that she will be staying with Dylan for awhile. And that she won't be seeing Lincoln either. Dylan reassured her that she will have a lot of fun with her back at his place but she was still trying to process the information. She was confused. Lincoln and her had never been apart. Not once since he brought her home with him. And now she was expected to live with someone else without Lincoln there with her. It's not that she didn't like Dylan. She loved him. But at the end of the day, Lincoln was her daddy and she feels safest and closest to him. 'Daddy, please.' she whimpered as she looked up at him. Lincoln turned to look at her before bending down to he height. 'Baby, we already talked about this yesterday. Please be good. Don't make this harder.' he said and caressed her cheeks with his hands. 'But I want to stay with you. I don't want to go.' Abby said as her eyes started to tear up. Her lips bent down and she was holding in a sob. 'Abby, you know I love you right. I wouldn't do this unless it's absolutely necessary.' Lincoln explained while Abby's tears streamed down her cheeks. 'But where will you be? Why can't I stay with you?' 'Like I said, it's complicated. I don't want you to worry about anything okay. You'll be with Dylan and he'll make sure you are safe no matter what.' Lincoln reassured her and pulled her in for a hug. 'Abby, you know you can trust me.' Dylan said as he bent to meet her eye level. 'Why can't we be together? All three of us.' Abby couldn't hold back her tears and let out a sob. 'Princess can be with both her daddies, why can't I?' she cried. Lincoln felt like his heart just broke into pieces. Dylan wasn't in a better shape either. They both knew where she was coming from. But it wasn't like they had a choice. 'Abby, we will be together. Just for now, that's not possible. But I promise you we will be together again really soon.' Lincoln said and held back his tears. He didn't want Abby to see him cry. He wanted them to part with as less sadness as possible. Even though it felt like they were all about to break at any moment. 'No, I want to stay with you! Please, daddy.' she sobbed and reached her arms out to wrap around Lincoln, not letting him go. Lincoln held her tightly close to his chest. He didn't want this to happen. He wanted her to stay. He wanted them to go home. To be together. 'I'm sorry, baby. I love you so much.' Lincoln whispered into her ear before pulling back and kissing her on the lips. 'Your highness, we must start our journey now. The king expects us to arrive in the city by dawn.' The driver said from the side, holding the door open for Dylan and Abby to get in. 'Come on, Abby.' Dylan said and held her by the shoulders to try and pry her from Lincoln. As she felt her body slowly being pulled away from Lincoln her cries became louder. 'I'm sorry.' Lincoln repeated to her softly as she flung her arms around to try and get to him. 'I'm sorry Abby. We have to leave.' Dylan said and hugged her close to his chest. He tried his best to calm her down but she was very clearly struggling with accepting the fact that Lincoln and her will be separated. Dylan swiftly carried her and put her in the car before closing the door, careful to not hit her with it. Abby banged on the glass, screaming to be let out but the doors were child locked and she had no way of getting out. Lincoln walked over to the door and rest his palm on the glass. He placed a kiss on his fingers before touching the tips to the window where her face was. 'I love you, baby.' 'Lincoln.' The prince turned around to meet the doctor who looked like his world was just turned upside down. Neither of them wanted to part from Lincoln. He was just better at hiding it than Abby. 'You'll be okay?' Dylan asked. Lincoln nodded, not sure if he would burst into tears if he tried to say anything. 'I'll take care of her. But promise me you'll come back to us as soon as possible.' Dylan said, reaching both his hands up to cup Lincoln's face. 'I promise.' Lincoln whispered and nodded. They stared at each other in silence for a long time before Lincoln pulled the doctor forward and crash their lips together. Dylan held Lincoln tight by his neck and made sure to savour this moment. He wasn't sure when would be the next time they could kiss like this. Lincoln pulled away and hugged Dylan tight. 'I didn't say this back before because I was still confused.' he said softly in his ears. 'I love you, Dylan.'
