"I'm nervous" Mom sighed in front of the mirror, she was already wearing her wedding dress, just needed to finish the makeup. "Every bride gets nervous at her wedding, it's normal" The makeup artist smiled at her. "Exactly, the date of your wedding is something very important to not be anxious" I commented. "Everyone is already in the church" My aunt came into the room "You look so beautiful, sis" "Beautiful and almost crying" "Anyway, beautiful" She looked at me. "You look adorable Raven" "Thank you, aunt Mila" I smiled. "I just wanna see Adam's face when he sees you, it will be incredible " She clapped her hands excitedly. "And how is he? Is he happy?" Mom asked with a concerned expression. "Why wouldn't he be, mom?" I frowned. "I bet he'll pass out from such joy when he looks at you" "I loved this girl, when I get down, I'll talk to her" The makeup artist said pointing to me. "You can come whenever you want, I don't charge anything" I joked back, making her laugh. "Okay, now I need to finish this makeup urgently" She took the luminizer. "Everyone is already waiting for you" {...} "Raven, come on" Aunt Mila pulled me by the arm, I felt looks on us as soon as we entered the church. "Let's sit at the front" We walked down the hall and I remained looking at my feet in shame. She asked me to sit down first and then she sat. The church was full, which was a surprise, as I didn't remember Mom having that many friends. Or maybe they were friends with Adam. "You look beautiful, princess" I heard a voice beside me. I raised an eyebrow when I saw that it was Jason. "Thank you" I looked ahead again. "Aren't you going to say I'm hot?" "What?" I opened my eyes wide, looking around to see if anyone had overheard. "Speak low" "But I'm talking quietly" He laughed. "Did you think of the idea?" "What an idea?" "That we will live together" I looked into his blue eyes, he was looking at me so intently that it made me nervous. "I was enjoying it before" I replied, dodging. "Before?" "Before I knew you existed" "Wow, wow!" He exclaimed "That hurt" "Did it hurt?" I gave a small smile, still looking ahead, while he didn't take his eyes off me. "Yes princess, or rather... witch" I looked at him offended. "The bride has arrived!" Someone said behind us and then everyone got up. The music started playing and then she came in with my grandfather, he was so happy and content. Mom was stunning, I wanted to be like her in the future, a wonderful and hardworking woman. She approached Adam and they both clasped their hands together, my grandfather patted the groom twice on the back and then walked away. "Why do people get married?" Jason asked beside me. "Because they love each other" "It doesn't make sense" He made a face. "How does it not make sense? If you love someone, you intend to be with them forever, don't you?" "I don't know, I never loved anyone" He shrugged. "One day you will" "And you? Have you ever loved someone?" He looked at me with a roguish smile. Why did he seem to be teasing me every moment? Maybe it was my impression. "No..." "Oh"
