I watch as Bensen's eyes snap wide and he quickly looks around the room.
"How do you know?" He asks me, glancing down at me quickly before looking around the room again.
"She spoke to me, into my head." I say. "Who is she?" I ask.
I watch as he takes a deep breath. He sighs and looks at me.
"Shelly was a friend of mine before Sol went completely evil. She and I trained together. She was one of the few vampires that wanted to help us. She tried to warn be about Sol. Shelly is also the only one who would come and spend time with me, while I was locked up." He tells me.
I feel tears in my eyes. I knew it wasn't true. No one as old as him would save themselves for their mate. He pulls my chin up so that I am looking at him again.
