Mate?

Chapter 1

“Wake up. You're going to be late,” whispers a familiar voice. I groan and roll on my side. “Morgynn'', the voice whispers again. I open my eyes to see my roommate Lily staring at me with a huge smile on her face.``Come on jackass get up,” she says getting up and walking over to my huge closet and going through some stuff.``what time is it?” i said sitting up and looking outside.``It's almost 7:00.” she says pulling out a tight fitted black short dress.” oh s**t!” i said jumping up and running into the bathroom. I turned on the shower, got undressed and jumped in. I rushed to shampoo and condition my hair, after about 5 minutes I turned off the shower and grabbed a towel. I walked into my room and an outfit was already on my bed, it was the black dress Lily got out of my closet and next to it was a pair of  white high heels.``Hey Lily what's with the dress and heels?” I yelled to her. Two seconds later she came into my room.”Oh my god  please tell me you did forget. Forget what.” I was confused.``Girl it's your 18th birthday!” she said running over and giving me a hug.``oh s**t i totally forgot” i said with a small laugh. `OK now get dressed we are grabbing some coffee before we go to school” she said running out of my room. I dried off my body and put on the dress, I went over to my mirror and I actually looked awesome. I've never been a dressy fancy kinda girl, I like my leggings and hoodies. I grabbed my phone to check the time and it was 7:15. I had just enough time to do my makeup and hair, I went into the bathroom to grab my hair dryer and straightener. I plugged them both in next to my white vanity and started to dry my hair. I have naturally puffy curly hair so I have to straighten it to look normal. I dried my hair and straightened it, after I grabbed my foundation mascara and lip gloss and rushed to put it on. I walked over to my bed, grabbed the heels and put them on, I grabbed my white purse I got for Christmas from lily a few months ago. I put all my work, a pencil, my charger, wallet, and phone in and walked out of my room. “Lily you almost ready?” I said walking down the hall to the kitchen. “Yeah i'll be right there” she called back. I walked over to the cabinet and grabbed a bag of salted peanuts and put them in my bag. I like to have a snack at school with me. Lily walked into the kitchen and she looked awesome, she was wearing her white tight dress with red heels and her red Gucci bag. Her hair was up in a curly half up half down. “Damn girl you look hot” she said walking over to the fridge and grabbing a water bottle. “So do you think you will find your mate today?” she asked, putting the bottle in her purse. “I hope not, i like how its just you and me right now” i said walking over and grabbing my keys. “Yeah but it could be some hot ass guy you know” she said opening the door. We both walked out and I locked the door behind me, and walked over to my car. My dad got me a Chrysler 300 for my first car, it was a little much but my dad wouldn't take no for an answer. We got into the car and put our purses in the back seat. I started the car and pulled out of the driveway. I looked at the clock and it was 7:30, and we didn't have to be at school till 8. “Ugh i need a coffee” i said putting my head back in my seat. “Same, let's go to Dunk-ins and get some coffee and food’ lily said, grabbing her phone out of her purse. After about 5 minutes of driving we got to dunk-ins and got out, walking into the store it was very cold. Being that it's summer and like 80 degrees out. We waited in line, there were 3 people in front of us so i figured i had time to go to the bathroom. “Hey, i'm going to run to the bathroom OK?” said handing lily my wallet. “You know my coffee and get me two maple donuts please. I walked over to the bathroom and locked the door behind me. I was washing my hands when suddenly my wolf was going crazy, and all I could smell was vanilla and peppermint. I grabbed my purse and ran out of the bathroom, I got to the middle of the store and stopped dead in my tracks. I locked eyes with one of the most beautiful men I've ever seen in my life, I didn't hear or think anything. It was just me and him. “Mate” my wolf cried over and over again. “Morgynn!” I heard someone shout and snapped out of it. It was Lily she was holding two coffees and two bags, “Morgynn are you OK?” she asked, handing me my coffee and bag. “Yeah we need to go,'' I said , hurrying past the guy and out to my car. I got in my car like someone was about to kill me, put my coffee in the tray and started the car. “Morgynn what the hell is going on?” she asked, shutting her door. “Lily, I think that guy is my mate,” I said, pulling off quickly. “What do you mean you think he's your mate?” she said loudly. “When i was in the bathroom i got a strong sudden smell of vanilla and peppermint, and my wolf came out saying he's my mate. Oh my god Morgynn you need to turn around” she said looking back to the store. “Lily no, you know i am not ready to have a mate. I'm not ready to be controlled  by someone and having them tell me who I can and can't be friends with.” I said, starting to tear up. “Oh Morgynn don't cry, I'm sorry I forgot what happens when you find your mate.” she said, giving me a side hug. “It's fine lily i just want to get to school and try to forget about what just happened OK? I ask while taking a sip of my coffee.”of course girl, it's your birthday after all!” she yelled and put on “birthday b***h” to cheer me up. On The way to school I was already feeling better.
