Kane
I knew from the picture I had seen of Aurora that she was beautiful, but that picture had truly done her no justice once I had met her in person. She was striking, a godly specimen of what was unearthly and sinfully irresistible . Her silky black hair slithered down over the back of her tight curvy dress, her pouty moist lips an invitation to be devoured with every word that existed her mouth. I wanted her, I wanted her badly wishing the only thing that had been ramming into each other was me into her, not our vehicles being what had collided. I had to quickly get my head straight once seeing her, reminding myself I was only here for one reason, and one reason only, and that reason not being to get up in her.
Her rearing into me was one serious lucky coincidence, making my agenda here just a bit easier. I knew she had an available apartment but she didn't have it advertised for rent. I never thought I was going to find shelter so close and so soon if she hadn't f****d up and bumped into me. It was hard enough getting a job anywhere around here, especially the bar she worked at. This town really did hate anybody who doesn't come from around here. If it weren't for the pipes f*****g up when I showed up looking for work, another fortunate coincidence, I would never have got hired.
I came to Clyde Banks two weeks ago, entering The Ridge. Jonah, the owner, briskly turned his head to me when I asked for work, but then the pipes in the kitchen exploded and I offered to fix them free of charge. That won him over and he offered me a job doing light maintenance and tending bar, tending bar being my initial intended employment. As uncomfortable as it may be, I was going to sleep in my truck until I found somewhere to stay permanently. The small rundown hotel supposedly having no vacancies. At least now I'll have a bed, but temptation will only be feet away, temptation I shouldn't want, temptation I can't have. No! I can't cross that line. It goes against my morals. I'm here to right my wrongs. I can never be with Aurora because of what I've done and I don't plan on staying. I've done enough harm in her life. I'll make sure everything's okay and then I'm gone.
I also know she's been f*****g that cop Steele, and he has one serious hard on for her. That's all I need, his cop ass taking interest in me. My plan is to lie low throughout my stay and I know that's already going to be hard considering how uptight Clyde Banks is. Having Steele Anderson seeking me out will only make my mission more difficult than it already is being in a town that rejects outsiders, so I really need to keep it in my pants.
I finally pull myself back together after reassessing the situation and introduce myself, "Kane Masters by the way," I extend my hand out to her.
"Aurora Devon," She takes my hand in hers. The soft silky feel of her skin warms me, shoots through my veins while I also take in the scent of her alluring perfume. I'm starting to grow hard in my jeans, my hand still in tact with hers. It takes everything in me from not tugging at her hand, pulling her into my chest, ravaging her with my lips.
I break my hand free, the contact is too much for me to handle. I nonchalantly take a step back, ruffling my fingers through my hair with a tug looking down at the concrete street, something I do when I'm frustrated, especially sexually. I look back up to meet her gorgeous gaze, "So Aurora, money isn't really an issue. I'm sure I can afford the rent. Can you give me an address and I'll be by later to finalize things?"
"But you haven't even seen the place?" She says peculiarly, pulling her head back in shock. Surprised that I would so easily agree to live somewhere without checking it out.
"I think you're quite aware of the town you come from. Anywhere that is willing to rent to me will do."
That statement seems to clarify any confusion as she just nods in compliance and understanding before running off to her car to retrieve some paper so she can write down her address and phone number.
Aurora comes back, is just about to hand me the slip of information, and then I see the red, blue, and white lights making their way, pulling over at the side of the road next to us.
I don't know why I thought I could avoid making his radar, but I guess we are all stupid in our own ways. It's Steele that has arrived, immediately giving me a death stare when he steps out of his cop car approaching us with a stiff stance.
He makes sure I can see every muscle flexing through his uniform as he walks towards us. He wants me to see him as a threat, he wants to intimidate me. I'm not a threat, but good luck buddy if you think you can scare me.
"Are you okay, Aurora? Is this guy bothering you?" He looks at her but not without dwindling his fingers around his holster, making sure I know he's ready to pull his gun in an instance.
"Calm the f**k down Steele," Aurora rolls her eyes, nodding her head, unamused by his caveman antics. "I rear ended this gentleman and was just exchanging information."
She moves in closer to me, now giving me her attention, handing me the piece of paper,"Call me later and we'll finish our discussion." The look she provides me tells me she has this covered, that I should just leave, so I comply.
When she steps back, I raise my head, looking at Steele, "Good Day Officer." I turn my back, get into my truck to leave off.
"Good Day," Steele clenches his teeth with his response, still keeping one hand near his gun, his voice along with the look on his face disgruntled.
I'm sure I'll end up behind bars in a week.
