Aana was so lost that she didn't realise when Christian car crossed her but he saw her. He is the same person whom Aaron warned to stay away from Aana after knowing that he had a feeling for Aana. From that day, despite being Aaron's bodyguard, Christian maintained a distance from Aana as he knew that Aana and Aaron both had feelings for each other and he would be the third wheel in their love story which he didn't want to be.
Even after their separation, Aaron didn't want to interrupt in their matter, it's a different thing that he always knew where Aana was and how she was doing. Also, he supports her in every possible way. Somewhere the NGO members treated her well in the beginning because of Christian requests but later Aana became like a family member to them.
