Tonight I couldn’t sleep again. Shadowfang stirred beneath my skin, restless and agitated. Before I knew it, I was on my feet, stepping out of the estate house and into the night. My legs carried me on their own, guided by something I couldn’t name. It wasn’t just memory driving me back to the forest, it was a pull, sharp and insistent, deep in my blood where the bite had marked me. That night… the wolf I had bitten, the shock of her silver eyes and the feel of her strength under my fangs, it had imprinted something in me I couldn’t shake. I ran, letting Shadowfang take over completely. The woods blurred around me, but somehow, instinct guided me. I didn’t need to remember the paths; my wolf knew. It was the same pull that had drawn me to the spot. I didn’t know why, but I had to return
