Thaddeus and his close friend Marcus darted off to the center of the city. Their attention was drawn by the sound of screams and snarls which they perceived as danger. It was like flaming bales had crashed into a forest, burning it and causing wreckage, as a ferocious howl echoed in the distance, followed by deep wind rustling through the trees. Their eyes widened, their senses alert as they gazed with anticipation at the mystery that had befallen them.
“You heard that? That howl, it sounded strange” Marcus said, his expression set in determination.
“It’s Nayvadius” Thaddeus growled, his expression darkened.
Marcus’ eye widened, his attention focused on the ferocious howls coming from deep within “What is he doing in our territory?” he asked.
Before Thaddeus could give a reply, a mysterious cloud darkened their vision, as a pack of wolves rapidly leaped out. He looked closely, scanning the commanding figure leading the pack as he emerged from the shadows.
Thaddeus’ eyes burned with fury as he was ready to shapeshift into his wolf form to battle and protect his city from the incoming threat. The figure emerged from the shadows, a figure that wasn't a member of their pack. He was tall, his hair as white as snow, his eyes a cruel blue. It was Nayvadius Bi'Frost, the Alpha of the rival pack.
“Thaddeus”, the figure sneered. The one who thinks he is ready to fill his father's shoes”
Thaddeus’ eyes widened, filled with fury “Why are you here, Nayvadius?”
Nayvadius chuckled “I always knew you weren't fit enough to lead your people going forward. This decision you have made is a slap on the face of our ancestors, you are about to pollute the blood of our kind. It would be devastating for you to make an outcast your chosen Luna” He replied.
“But I won't let that happen, and that is why I am here, to do whatever it takes to take over this city” Nayvadius continued as he wheeled in a devilish smirk.
Thaddeus anger raged with fury as he was prepared to lung at him. He was devastated by the words coming from Nayvadius. But he was stopped by Marcus who was there to calm him down.
Before Thaddeus could reply, Nayvadius had disappeared into the shadows leaving Frost Edge City in chaos, giving Thaddeus and Marcus a challenge too big to ignore.
Marcus turned to Thaddeus, his golden eyes blazing in desperation. “We need to save our city now!!!.”
Thaddeus nodded, his thick jaws set in determination and his eyes focused on the mission at hand. “I will rally our pack, and you help evacuate the rest to the cavern.”
Thaddeus’ heart raced as he gazed at the incoming pack, Nayvadius's army had blue eyes and dark furs just like theirs. They howled with one mission in mind— that is to bring an end to Frost Edge pack.
Thaddeus’ guardians arrived in the nick of time as they rallied around him with all eyes set on the incoming pack. They surged with anticipation as Thaddeus’ long sharp claws stuck out from his paws as they all began shapeshifting into their wolf form, ready for battle.
Thaddeus had silver eyes with dark furs just like the rest of his pack.
He lunged at a wolf from the rival pack, his claws slashing its flanks.
He had defeated all the wolves that he had encountered as he pounced on the wolves that had outnumbered his friend, Marcus. His fangs dug deep into their flesh as they all collapsed to the ground and his guardians continued from where he left off.
Minutes passed, as the battle began to subside. Thaddeus’ army was too powerful for that of Nayvadius’. The rest of Nayvadius pack retreated, having realized they had been outnumbered.
“Phew…. that was one hell of a fight,” Marcus exclaimed as he transformed into his human form. “I wasn't ready for this today.” He continued with an exaggerated brow.
Thaddeus transformed to his human form, his high profile standing elegantly naked.
Nudity was a usual occurrence in the wolf world, men could go around naked without shame for they had just transformed.
“I brought some extra suits for us, should in case the need arise,” Marcus said as he grabbed and handed the clothes that were left on the floor to Thaddeus.
“You have crossed the line, Nayvadius” Thaddeus yelled. “This is not the end, I have you and any threat you impose in mind.” Thaddeus bragged as he was filled with a sense of accomplishment.

“Does the name Heimdall ring a bell?” Marcus asked facing Thaddeus.
“The watchman from tales in ancient times? The gatekeeper between realms, yes, we had read about him back then as kids” Thaddeus replied.
“Exactly” Marcus confirmed
“He is a sorcerer, a powerful one at that, he might be able to locate your Luna and also teleport you to and fro from her world down back to ours,” he explained.
“What?? Does he actually exist?” Thaddeus asked, his expression showing a sign of interest.
“Yes of course,” Marcus replied. “And I know where to find him,” he continued.
“I think it's time we go on to see him, to hear what he has to say and know what he has for us. Thaddeus’ chin rose with interest as they both stride towards the chambers of Heimdall with Marcus leading the way.
Marcus and Thaddeus darted off into the valley of the unknown, seeking Heimdall, as they navigated their way into the dark and shallow entrance.
“Thaddeus, the rightful heir to Frost Edge, you came earlier than I expected?” A voice echoed from the darkness as the curtains opened and a bit of sunlight poured in.
The figure was in a temple covered in a dark cloak, with white eyes that glimmered so brightly, that it could be taken as a source of light itself.
“It is an honor to be in your presence. You do know me?” Thaddeus inquired, his eyebrows creasing in curiosity.
“I don't need to know you,” his voice louder this time, “I am aware of your tribulations, and you are here in my chambers seeking answers.”
“I know where Vanessa is, and teleporting to her world would require casting a spell when the full moon is out” Heimdall replied, with Thaddeus shocked that Heimdall already knew what he wanted and had a solution in place.
“So do we have to wait till the moon is out?” Thaddeus inquired.
“We can start the process by igniting the hemisphere to connect with the cosmic forces between both worlds.” Heimdall's voice echoed through the thick silence as he stretched his arm to reach out for Hofund — his divine staff.
He bowed his head and wrapped his hands around the handle of the staff, as he invoked the cosmic forces connecting with the whole universe.
The staff was extremely powerful having been crafted by the dwarves of Nidavellir and enchanted by Odin himself. He is the only one assigned to use it since it has the power to drain the strength of those who aren't spiritually powerful enough to handle it. But for Thaddeus' sake, he decided to duplicate it, entwining its powers and handing it over to Thaddeus since he would need it to navigate his way in the galaxy.
As Thaddeus clutched the staff, his eyes mysteriously turned white, sending shock waves all around his body as if it had its numbing effect on him. He could feel the surge of electricity flowing through him, as thunder howled over the darkness and the wind hovering the full moon.
Heimdall had cast a spell that created an instantaneous teleportation portal with a shallow passage to the realm for Thaddeus and Marcus to arrive at the human world. Thaddeus, without doubt, went first into the shallow portal, and behind him was Marcus.
An endless fall was the order of the moment, but it later seemed to clear out as they both crashed awkwardly into what they thought was concrete. Thaddeus’ face reddened as he stood up ignoring the pain that had plunged into his left shoulder he helped his friend, Marcus, pull up as they both stood pondering on what to do next.
“What is this place?” Thaddeus pondered with a keen gaze, walking in a direction. He noticed the hall was consumed with darkness, it looked like a prison and he kept wondering what his mate could be doing inside.
He turned to Marcus as he was filled with doubt, contemplating their decision to follow Heimdall's words as they both found themselves stranded in the middle of nowhere.
His senses heightened as a wind crashed into his face, he could perceive that familiar scent, the same scent that was familiar with that of his pack, and he could sense that his mate was close by.
As he walked further trying to trace where the scent was coming from he bumped into a huge frightening figure who asked, “Who are you and what are you looking for?”
With a smirk, his chin raised with gritted teeth, “I am Thaddeus Aurelius and I am here to claim my mate.”
