Chapter 3- So Much For Swimming

1755 Words
I could feel the nervousness coming off of Carter like waves wondering what was in store for him. Hell, I was scared for him, for all of us. Maybe we are embarking on something big. Something out of our league, I mean we are only teenagers.   "Just click it," Isaac says tensely.   "Once I click this, we are all in this there's no turning back guys," I said   I finally work up the nerves to click on the picture, and it ends up being a picture of a note which reads:   Come to Cape Cod, as the first part of your road trip follow the instructions below, we know a lot more than you think. Good luck and when you arrive call this number as soon as possible - 345-6780   (not an actual number)   Below it was an address in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. I'm guessing it's a house or maybe an apartment of some sort. Or it could be a huge scam.   "So, are we actually heading down to Cape Cod first guys?" I asked wondering if we were actually going through with this mystery lead.   "What other option do we have, the person who sent this obviously knows who we are looking for," Isaac says.   "He's right, but this could be fake, what if it's a trap we have no clue who sent this, let alone how they knew we would be the ones receiving it?" Carter states.   "f**k if I know, but this the only lead we have," Isaac says.   "Then it's settled we're going to Cape Cod for the first leg of the trip," I said clapping my hands together.   "We are leaving this Friday, right?" Isaac asks   "Yeah the RV should be ready by then, I can pick each person up and we will go from there," Carter explains.   "Well as much as I would love to stay with the two lovebirds, I have to leave," Isaac says getting up.   Carter and Isaac do their manly one-sided hug, he also gives me a hug to and by hug, I mean he tried to squeeze me to death.   After our goodbyes, he finally left. Claiming he had some date to get ready for. And I could have sworn I saw his cheeks turn red after he said that. I've never seen him blush before I'm definitely going to have to ask him about that later.   "So, it's just the two of us." Carter half-smiles.   "Actually, your parents are downstairs, not going to happen," I said rolling my eyes at him.   "I was just going to say we can finally go swimming." He says trying to be innocent.   "Geez get your mind, out of the gutter." He said me up and throwing me over his shoulder, tossing me on the bed with a single bounce   "If this is your way of getting me into bed with you, it's not working," I say smiling looking up at him.   "Fair enough, but we are going swimming whether you like it or not,"   "Wasn't I the one who suggested we go swimming after he left when I called you this morning?"   "Touché," he says.   I thought he was heading towards the bathroom; he quickly turns around and straddles me. His knees on either side of me. His face is so close to mine, I'm staring straight into his eyes. And I notice the flecks of gold in his gorgeous brown eyes. The freckles that adorn his face become noticeable since where this close.   "Kiss me," I breathe out.   Our lips met with a fiery kiss, nothing like we had before it was usually either super sweet or extremely rushed and in the moment. This kiss and I know how corny this will sound but it was passionate. All the feelings he has about our summer trip are resurfacing in this one kiss. I can almost feel his doubt about everything that may or may not happen this summer.   The heat between our lips made an involuntary moan escape mine. I gently caress his neck not wanting to pull away. His hands grab my waist flipping us over now I'm the one straddling him. He placed his hands on my hips deepening the kiss. I breathed heavily as our tongues grazed each other. The friction between us was unbearable. Quickly slipping off his shirt my hands roamed his chest. Raking my hands up and down it.   We both pulled away to catch a breath. I trail kisses down his toned chest, he lets out a shaky moan, making me grin against his chest, and I look up with him. Lust and something else I couldn't figure out yet flashed through his eyes.   I go lower until I reached the base of his jeans. I kind of panicked, I think he caught on and quickly pulled me up, but not before taking off my shirt. Palming my breast through the bra. I let out a moan and connected our lips again tugging at his hair trying to bring us as close as I could, never wanting to pull away.   All good things come to an end I suppose because we heard a knock on the door, and we literally jumped apart faster than a speeding bullet. I quickly hop out of the bed scoop up my shirt and ran into the bathroom.   I slip my shirt back on and check myself in the mirror. I have almost-had-s*x--s*x hair. So, I just pulled my hair into a high ponytail with the extra hairband I thankfully remembered to put on my wrist. Smoothing out my shirt I walked back into the room. And saw Carter and his foster mom.   "Yeah it's for most of the summer and we will all be together at all times mom." He said, his eyes went straight to mine as soon as I stepped out of the bathroom.   "Oh, you’re still here," Melinda said when she finally sees me.   "Yeah, we were planning out where we are going first on the road trip," I say try to put on my best to smile but it probably looks like a nervous tick. We were this close to being caught in a compromising position. Once was already enough. And let's just say it wasn't his mom or dad that walked in on a heavy make-out session. It was my dad; I will look back on that day in ten years and still cringe and turn a shade of pink.   But that is a story for another time.   "I don't know about you guys traveling without parental supervision," Melinda says nervously. She may not be his biological mom but she cared about carter like he was her own. and let me tell you there is nothing in this world scarier than a mother protecting her babies, even though he is about to be 18.   "Isaac is going to be 18 in July, he's practically an adult." Carter rebottles.   "And this is supposed to make me feel better, you know we are talking about the same Isaac who, and no disrespect, is a complete i***t and thinks with his yoo-hoo," Melinda giggles.   I try so hard not to laugh when she says yoo-hoo; I'm not letting him live that one down.   "Mom we will be fine, I promise I'll call you first thing when we get to Cape Cod," He says with a slight blush on his face.   "Ok, I'll have to talk to your father about it, and if we decide yes you have to clean out the RV it hasn't been used in forever."   "Okay deal now, go ask dad, I need to know ASAP." He says practically begging his mom to leave.   "Fine I know where I'm not wanted," she said jokingly. She flashed me a smile before she walked out of the room.   "Yoo-hoo?" I asked him with a huge grin on my face.   "Just rub it in," he says sarcastically.   "Is that what you called it when you were little," I say trying desperately to contain my laughter.   "Yes, is that what you wanted to hear," he said desperately trying to get out of this conversation.   "It's not like you didn't have a weird name for yours either." He says with a smirk of his own on his face.   "Wow look at the time, I think I should get going," I said looking at my wrist...Which had no watch on it.   "Where are you going all of the sudden?" Carter asks grabbing me by my waist, spinning me around.   "I have an uh um, you see I need to be... yeah I got nothing," I say putting my arms around his neck and my head in the crook of his neck.   "You're a terrible liar you know, that right?"   "Screw you," I say.   "What time?"   "Asshole," I mutter.   "Ah, those nicknames again munchkin, you seriously need to work on them."   "Ok, well yoo-hoo boy, are we still swimming?" I ask him   "Eh you'll get there." He says referring to my new and improved nickname. "Yeah sorry for the delay but this really beautiful girl attacked me with her lips, I was a little held up." He says.   "Shut up!” I said blushing furiously.   He leans in and wraps me up with both of his arms and quickly kisses my lips. As the door burst open.   His mom reemerges again. Not looking too shocked that she caught us kissing.   "We are having the Little's over for dinner tonight, are you staying Amanda?" she asks   I nod my head yes   "Who are the Little's?" I asked.   "Oh, they are just a friend of the families, they have a girl about your guys' age, she used to-."   "Yeah, we can be down soon mom," Carter says tensely.   She quickly leaves saying that we should be down in twenty minutes.   "What was that about?" I say   "Nothing, it's just that jasmine and I had a history," Carter says awkwardly.   "What do you mean history?" I say trying not to play the jealous girlfriend right now.   "We used to date, nothing huge. The break up was pretty much mutual." He says his face turning a light red color.   "What did she dump you or something?" I asked.   "She, she um well she was-"   And that sentence was interrupted when a Megan Fox lookalike came bounding into the room, going straight to Carter and giving him a huge hug.   Ok, I dare someone to tell me that I can't play the jealous girlfriend... so much for swimming
