I snapped out of my thoughts with a jolt, Carter was tapping me on my shoulder with a knowing look. I knew later I would have to tell him my thoughts and eventually admit that the nightmares were, in fact, coming back to haunt me. But at least I can put it off until later today.
"Sorry I just zoned out, and I do realize it might be a possibility but I’ll be wearing a mask he won't recognize me with it on,” I said faking confidence because I knew if he had a mask on and I even heard his voice I would know who it was no doubt about it.
