We head out of the hot tub before saying goodnight to the boys. I stop in the kitchen to grab water and a snack before bed. Carter made fun of me for grabbing the entire box of animal crackers and bringing them with us upstairs. We both quickly change into sleep clothes, I have on one of Carter's t-shirt and a pair of his boxers and he just has on sweatpants.
I attempt to eat some of my animal crackers as we watch trash tv, but eventually, put them down and lay my head on his chest. I get pulled under by sleep and close my eyes.

I wake up slowly hearing screaming and yelling coming from downstairs. I reach my hand out looking for Carter and don't feel anything. I sit up in bed and see that he is gone. Coincidentally one of the voices yelling downstairs sounds like him. I
