Chapter 4: The Curtains Fall
The grand ballroom of the Pearl Continental hotel was a vision of absolute opulence, a masterclass in high-society luxury funded entirely by Zain’s carefully hidden wealth. Towering crystal chandeliers cast a brilliant, shimmering glow over the elite crowd. Thousands of imported white orchids hung from the ceiling, their sweet fragrance filling the air, while a live classical string quartet played a soft, elegant melody in the background.
Every single corner of the hall screamed perfection. It was exactly what Elyana had always dreamed of—a stage fit for royalty.
The guest list was a glittering roster of power and influence. On one side of the hall sat Zain’s relatives, distinguished and dignified elders who had traveled across the country to bless the union. On the other side, Elyana’s family mingled with high-ranking corporate executives, prominent socialites, and a massive circle of mutual friends from their university days. Waiters in tailored tuxedos glided effortlessly through the crowd, carrying silver trays laden with expensive champagne and gourmet hors d'oeuvres.
At the center of it all stood Elyana and Aahil.
Elyana looked breathtakingly beautiful in a heavily embroidered pastel-pink designer gown that trailed gracefully behind her. Beside her stood Aahil, looking sharp in a sleek tuxedo, acting every bit the supportive, doting childhood best friend of the groom. They laughed, chatted with the guests, and accepted congratulations, their faces radiant with a flawless facade of innocence.
Then, Zain walked into the ballroom.
He wore a custom black suit that fit his frame perfectly, his posture upright, his expression a mask of calm, polite warmth. As he approached his fiancée and his best friend, his eyes showed no trace of the storm brewing inside his chest. He smiled—a perfectly practiced, lethal smile.
"Zain, look at all of this!" Elyana gasped, instantly wrapping her arms around his arm, leaning into him with a sickeningly sweet pout. "It’s absolutely magnificent. You really outdid yourself for our engagement."
"Anything for you, Elyana," Zain replied, his voice chillingly steady as he looked down at her. "I promised you a night you would never, ever forget."
Aahil stepped forward, clapping Zain on the shoulder with a hearty, brotherly grin. "You did great, man. I’m so proud of you. You’re finally getting the girl of your dreams."
Zain looked at Aahil’s hand on his shoulder, feeling a deep, burning surge of disgust, but he maintained his composure. "Thanks, brother. I couldn't have reached this moment without you."
The master of ceremonies took the microphone, his voice booming across the grand hall. "Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests, may I please have your attention? We have now reached the highlight of our evening—the official cake cutting ceremony! If we could have the beautiful couple step up to the grand stage, please."
A thunderous round of applause echoed through the ballroom as Zain and Elyana walked up the steps to the elevated stage. Right in the center stood a massive, five-tier white fondant cake, intricately decorated with edible gold leaf and fresh orchids.
As they stood behind the cake, a massive, state-of-the-art LED screen lowered slowly from the ceiling behind them, spanning the entire width of the stage. The lights in the grand ballroom began to dim, plunging the audience into a soft, expectant twilight.
"Before we cut the cake," Zain announced into his microphone, his voice echoing with absolute authority, "I have a special presentation. A tribute to love, trust, and the deep, hidden bonds that connect the people closest to me. Please, look at the screen."
Elyana beamed, whispering to Aahil who was standing just off the stage, "Oh, he actually put together the childhood slideshow!"
The screen flickered to life. But it wasn't a slideshow of childhood memories.
The screen suddenly blasted open with a high-definition, crystal-clear video. The audio system, calibrated to perfection, boomed through the ballroom's massive surround-sound speakers.
The dimly lit room of the secret apartment appeared on screen. The crowd gasped as the camera focused heavily on the two faces in the frame. It was Elyana, handcuffed to a headboard, and Aahil, leaning over her.
"What is this...?" Elyana’s voice lost all its color, her eyes widening in horror as she stared at the screen. "Zain? Stop this! What is this?!"
But the video was already playing loudly, the audio cutting through the shocked silence of the ballroom like a razor blade.
On the screen, Aahil’s voice echoed, thick with lust as he reached down, tearing at her clothes. “You have such beautiful and soft b***... ah, let me feel it,” his recorded voice groaned through the high-end speakers, his hands moving intimately over her body.
The elite crowd of high society stood frozen. Zain’s older relatives gasped, covering their eyes in pure shame. Elyana’s parents turned utterly pale, her father gripping the table to keep from collapsing.
The video continued mercilessly. On the giant display, Aahil aggressively pushed her long frock up, lifting her legs high up into the air, leaning down to brutally kiss the inside of her thighs.
Elyana's recorded voice loudly filled the ballroom, a breathless, sharp cry echoing from every corner: “Aah... it feels so good...”
"No! Turn it off! Please, turn it off!" Elyana shrieked on stage, dropping her designer clutch, her hands flying to her ears. She looked at the crowd, seeing her friends, her family, and the city's billionaires watching her most private, shameful moments in high-definition.
Then came the final, devastating blow of the footage. On the screen, Aahil quickly pulled his jeans down, exposing himself, and with a sudden, violent thrust, forced his private part deep into her private part. The recorded Elyana let out a loud, piercing scream of intense, raw pleasure that reverberated through the entire hotel ballroom.
The atmosphere in the room exploded into absolute chaos and a heated, furious uproar. The moral fabric of the high-society gathering shattered instantly.
"Degenerates!" an elder from Zain’s family shouted, slamming his cane onto the floor.
"What a absolute disgrace! Look at them!" corporate executives whispered loudly, pointing fingers, their eyes filled with utter disgust. Elyana’s mother fainted right into her chair, while her father marched toward the stage, his face red with a mixture of rage and overwhelming humiliation.
Amidst the roaring scandal, Zain stood perfectly still. The cold, sinister smile finally emerged on his lips.
He didn't scream. He didn't cry.
With a slow, deliberate movement, Zain reached down and grabbed a massive, heavy chunk of the five-tier engagement cake. Before Elyana could even blink, Zain slammed the thick, creamy cake brutally right onto her face, smashing it over her heavy makeup and her eyes.
"I hope you absolutely love your special engagement gift, Elyana," Zain whispered darkly, his voice cutting through her panicked sobbing.
Turning his gaze to Aahil, who was standing frozen at the base of the stage, his face completely drained of blood, Zain picked up a full, crystal glass of champagne from the stage table. With a flick of his wrist, he threw the sharp alcohol directly into Aahil’s face. The glass shattered against the floorboards, splashing champagne over Aahil’s tailored tuxedo.
"We are done," Zain said coldly, dropping the microphone onto the stage floor with a loud, ringing thud.
He turned his back on them, stepping off the stage to walk away from the wreckage of their lives.
"Zain! Please! Wait!" Elyana cried out, her voice broken and completely hysterical. Blinded by the cake on her face and tripping over the heavy fabric of her ruined pink gown, she collapsed to her knees right at his feet. She grabbed the hem of his trousers, begging frantically, her tears cutting tracks through the frosting on her cheeks. "Zain, I beg you, please! It was a mistake! It meant nothing! Don't leave me like this, my family will be ruined! Please!"
Zain stopped, looking down at the girl he had once loved with all his heart, now reduced to a begging, pathetic mess in her own filth on the floor. His eyes were devoid of any mercy, burning with a dangerous, high-voltage anger that radiated pure danger.
Without saying a single word, he violently kicked his leg back, ripping his trousers out of her desperate grasp, leaving her sliding across the floor. He stepped over her, walking down the central aisle of the ballroom. The crowd parted for him like the Red Sea, watching in absolute awe and terror as the quiet, humble man walked out into the night, leaving behind a ruined empire of lies.
