The glass shattering sent me ducking for cover, Dewi’s arms tight about me as he moulded his body over mine like a human shield as the glass hit us like a bullet. Even protected as I was I could feel the tiny shards pierce the skin on my face and arms as I threw them up to protect myself. Warm blood fell from hundred of tiny cuts.
But the initial impact was nothing to the screeching sound of metal and brick as something huge and dark blotted out the sunlight streaming through the windows. Whatever it was, and I was assuming it was a dragon was huge.
Maybe even as big as Dewi, and it lost no time in literally ripping the wall apart. Dusk clouds fell in a thick cloud as people started screaming and running for cover.
