Miss. Franklin could feel the pain in Massy just as much as she could see it. Massy could feel Mari burning a hole in the side of her face. There wasn't much the two of them kept from one another but it was obvious Massy was holding onto this for longer than she should of.
"Yes! Yes definitely. We will run tests." Miss. Franklin stood up and stretched out her arm grabbing ahold of Massy's hand. "We'll fix it." She pulled her into a hug. "We'll fix it." She assured her, giving Massy her word.
"Why didn't you say anything!?" Mari asked, the line in between her eyebrows creased as she frowned.
Massy looked down and fumbled her fingers. "I don't know. I didn't know what to say, I knew I needed a second opinion though, I mean I have to have one. Mari I have to be able to have children."
Mari frowned harder she stood up and sat next to Massy on the examination bed. "I'm sure they made a mistake or something, but I mean you should of told Odell, at least... You did tell him right? What happened."
"No, I haven't said anything, I've been keeping this a secret for a month now." Massy shook her head no, still looking down at her fingers.
"A MONTH! Massy!"
Massy looked up at her sister, Mari's eyes had doubled in size. "I couldn't say anything. I figured they were right. Yes, I'm on birth control but women still get pregnant while on that, as much as Odell and I have s*x and he's never used protection. I just figured they were right. I couldn't get pregnant. I... Just couldn't tell him... it made me sick thinking about it."
"But Massy, this is serious you can't keep something like this from him!" Mari protested.
Massy began crying. "I'm scared! I was scared Mari!" Mari pulled Massy into a hug. "Mari, he really wants kids! What if I can't give him kids Mari!" The tears grew in volume as they streamed down Massy's face into her sisters shoulders. "He's going to leave me Mari! He's not going to want to be with me!"
The fear in Massy's voice brought tears to Mari's eyes as she clung to Massy trying to comfort her. "No! Massy! He won't he won't, we'll fix it." She grabbed the back of her head and held Massy even tighter. Trying her best not to cry along with her.

Odell stretched across the wide couch cushions his ankle propped up on the table resting on a ice pack still wrapped up in tap. The sound of the front door opened but he payed no attention to it "I thought we were doing the no dogs on the couch thing?" Massy said leaning down and wrapping her arms around his shoulders. Doing her best to remain normal, not to worry him too much.
Odell's focus was being pulled by the Call of Duty video game on the large flat tv in front of him. He looked down at Dre and their three new dogs then looked over at Koba.
"Well Dre and the boys get it, but Koba is a lot like you, she doesn't really listen to authority too well." Odell said calmly looking back at the tv. Massy punched Odell in the shoulder.
"I do listen to authority!" Odell paused the game, and turned his body around and gave her a stale face, his eyebrows and corners of his mouth frowned. Massy frowned back at him. "Well... I mean sometimes I do... I listen... Sometimes." She said trying to make her rebel like behavior acceptable. "How's your ankle?" She asked changing the subject and walking around the couch to stand in front of him.
"I'm good. I'll be iigh." He assured her. Odell looked closer at Massy and paused.
"What happened?" He asked. Massy didn't do as good of a job at looking inconspicuous as she thought. Massy was seconds away from saying she's fine, but she paused and held her breath for a moment, Odell paused the game and set the controller down. "Come here."
Massy took another breath and released it and walked around the couch. She could no longer hold anything from Odell. Her conversation and current situation was clear proof of that. "I have to talk to you about something and it's regarding my health." Odell frowned and leaned forward. "I'm not dying or anything I don't have cancer or nothing."
"Massy." Odell said arching an eyebrow waiting for her to continue and get to the point.
"A few months ago I had a regular check up in LA, and they said..." Massy paused trying to keep herself from crying. She began fidgeting and talking with her hands. "They said that... That I was infertile." Odell's eyes widened and expression of not knowing how to react caught Massy's attention. "But once I got back home here I went to my regular gynecologist for a second opinion and she..." Odell began to see the panic in Massy's eyes.
"Why didn't you tell me about this sooner... When you found out!?" He asked leaning forward.
"Because I was scared!" The tears began falling, she could no longer hold them in. "I was scared. I know how bad you want children and I was scared. I'm sorry." Massy's breathing began to suffer as the tears and her panic grew. "I was scared! I don't want you to leave me! I was scared you'd leave me because I might not be able to have kids. Please don't leave me."
Odell was speechless as Massy cried and pleaded in front of him. He pulled her close to him into a tight hug. "Massy I wouldn't leave you because of that. Don't think like that!" Massy began crying harder as a sign of relief, even more weight and fear had been taken off her shoulders. "Massy I wouldn't leave you like that. Because of kids! No I wouldn't do that!"
"I just know how bad you wanted them... And I might not be able to give you any!" Massy's crying grew even harder.
"Massy Massy, calm down, stop and look at me. Odell held her by the shoulders his head c****d down looking her directly into her eyes. Odell realized the pressure he was putting on her by her fear of leaving. "Massy I'm sorry, I did know the amount of pressure I was putting on you with me wanting kids. I wouldn't leave you because of this. There's other ways. When you go in to get your results I'll go with you. Massy I'm here ok, I'm here, I'm not going to leave you."
