Prologue

353 Words
I have been around on this earth for a millennium. Standing still, above me is the sky and below me is what I contain and whom I protect. I ain't like the others, different with no justification. I am the destruction of shelters that are around me, however, a shelter for what is within me. Creatures inside of me are relatively infinitesimal-like their problems-they are trapped in me like I am in my coordinates. I don't often get angry but when I do, all I feel is blood and ashes in my roots. Ashes that were once part of me.  Say something in me and I shall make everyone in me hear. I ain't from flesh or skin. I am a rock, made and covered in what I create in rage. As old as my host, created on the first days of earth. I AM A VOLCANO That its magma is stuck inside yet not on the ground. Thus, it goes out but not further in. Hence, protecting whom inside of me, and because of that people were born in me. Not knowing their history or where they come from. Legends and myths from the known world have been said and narrated, only a few are true about my people’s origins and story. Their water comes from a hole in my walls, pouring from the ground’s roots. They eat what they grow, eat no flesh like the outside, and they never saw flesh but their own. It seems like the place is designed for such unworthy creatures. Think it is too rocky to be liberated. But don't they know the rocks will turn into ashes and so will they if they liberate themselves not. I can hold my anger no more. Their destiny is between escaping my implosion or a terrifying death. I was angered only once in my lifetime, yet I did not show it. Yet, there is no escape from the next time, once I am united with my stone, the only destruction will follow. Ice shall melt, rocks will be demolished and seas will evaporate. From the ashes of this world, a better one might follow.
