Chapter 6 Bend Four days later Even exhaustion could not completely dim Clay’s joy. Not only did he bring good news, but in a few more minutes he would again be with Aron. He steered the agency SUV down the dusty track as the sun sank beyond the ragged line of mountains to the west. He hadn’t been able to resist letting Aron know he was on the way back, but he’d managed to keep the big news. He pulled in to a spot just outside the circle of the camp and turned off the SUV.
