New beginning

It had been a week since the engagement. Palmer had tried all week to not think of Sarah any longer . Anyone whose ever decided not to think of something knows that thats the surest way of constantly thinking about it.

So the result was that Palmer was just sulkier than usual. Ishan knew what was up but also knew better than to bring it up and make Palmer ballistic.

" You're right ", sighed Palmer . "I should jus break it off with Jessica".

" That's quite the right thing to do but not gonna serve your purpose" ,said Ishan.

" What do you mean ?"

" You break things off now, you cut of all contact with Sarah "

" What do u mean "

" I mean don't say anything to anyone. Get close to Sarah ,see what happens there.I dunno take things slow maybe."

" That makes a lot of sense but it ll be a super shitty thing to do to Jessica"

"LOL sure . Reason I didn't think that was important is cos u are already a d**k with her "

" Point taken. " , accepted Palmer. What Ishan said made a lot of sense. If he broke off the engagement now the fallout on the business was going to be horrible but worse he'd probably never get to even see Sarah again. Palmer hated how imagining never seeing Sarah again made him feel like falling into an endless pit.

"Argh that damn woman " screamed Palmer in his mind.

Jessica had been super busy all week. The engagement and party pictures had taken the internet by storm and managing all the well wishers and their attention had kept her busy. She really hadn't noticed her fiancés internal struggles at all.

So when Palmer called her and asked if Sarah and her would be up for a double date with himself and Ishan, Jessica was very pleased and accepted without even asking Sarah.

She then went looking for her sister absolutely convinced that this was such a great idea.Sarah had such a knack of staying invisible thought Jessica to herself after being unable to locate her in the two rooms she checked.

"Sarah , " Jessica called out sing song and teasing when she finally found her in the couch on the library.

" You have to come with me today evening " Jessica demanded plonking down on the hand rest of the couch.

" Okay , were to ?"

" With me,Palmer and Ishan . Its a double date ".

" Easy tiger " , smiled Sarah. She didn't absolutely hate the idea but was teasing Jessica.

"Cmon .. please "

" Okay Okay. Where are we going " , asked Sarah.

" Okay so there's this new place on Libis. They have a courtyard chef's table kind of thing ."

" Sounds great . What time ?"

" Seven "

" Cool " , said Sarah trying to get back to her book.

" Is that how u wanna play "

" What "

" So obviously this must all be Ishans idea . What are you hiding girl?"asked Jessica nudging her.

" Nothing ", blushed Sarah. " Seriously I didnt think it was a big deal . We had jus met briefly ,very very briefly . Say a few minutes and thats it. I met hyeong and Ishan in the conservatory before the party. I don't think we got past hi."

"Hyeong?"

"Hyeong is bro in Korean. " shrugged Sarah " Am a K-pop fan "

" You are going to call Palmer hyeong ? " laughed Jessica " No no am not going to get diverted. There's definitely more about Ishan "

" No really there isn't . He said I was cute but hyeong kind of kept him away".

" And now is asking us on double dates "

Sarah shrughed . It was just a date no need to overthink . The ladies kept chatting about other things until it was time for them to get ready.
