I did not have any time to give my attention to all the people around us. I just know for this very second, he was hugging me and I feel very full and warm because of it. I felt that he is slowly distancing himself from me and that was the first signal I felt that made my head goes straight. I should not be playing around with some guy, that I was merely playing in love with- that does not make any sense.

“Listen everyone!” Luke suddenly exclaimed on top of his lungs. All of the people, which means including me, I became curious on what will he going to say, or should I say announce to everybody inside of this huge arena.

“Luke, this is not the time you would such be a jerk.” Asley said to him and trying to calm him down, but he suddenly grabbed my hand and pull me together with him in the middle.

“Luke, what are you doing?” I quietly exclaimed to him, I was faking smile as I felt my face starting to get hot out of embarrassment.

“Just watch.” He plainly answered with a smirked, and that is not a good thing to say to me.

“I want to introduce my girl to all of you, she is Lisanna King and the new member of this club- the Trident Club.” He announced as I was only staring blankly, until I heard someone from the crowd yelled.

“She is a King?!” he yelled and everyone looked towards his direction and also with mine.

“And that explains everything, welcome to the Aquadale.” Another man exclaimed and they clapped their hands as their huge welcome.

“What is happening?” I asked in huge confusion.

“You do not have to worry or anything, they are just being happy that you found your way back to this place.” He answered to me and smiled, I felt that he held my hand much tighter that I looked on it- and towards a direction where I felt some unusual gazes coming from- it was Asley standing silently and staring seriously.

What is going on with him?

And there was an after party, Leigh already accepted his defeat and he was the one who actually threw this huge party in their house. I saw Kaira from the distance and unfortunately, her kindness was extended and my twin was also invited in this party. Well, I do like my twin to come but I do not want to see her flirting with everyone.

“How was the Queen?” I saw Ashford walking towards me and holding a shot glass of tequila.

“What are you talking about?” I exclaimed to him and he chuckles.

“You are the only girl in the group, thus, you are the Queen.” He explained and I scoffed.

“Shut up, is Kaira not a girl?” I jokingly said to him.

“She is, but she is not one of the club.” He answered as I automatically looked at him to check if he was joking or what, but I guess, he is freaking not.

“What?” I mumbled.

“What? Do not tell me that you did not know or even suspect that about?” he said as he finally handed me the glass.

“Right, you are right.” I answered and drank the drink in one go.

“Whoa, slow down. No one is chasing you.” And that was Brett.

“Well, I do chase myself, though.” I answered and grabbed the glass he was holding and drank it all in one go, again.

“You are such a heavy drinker.” Brett commented in shock.

“This is nothing, but a normal thing.” I answered.

I heard the music went loud as the people started to dance, like it is our last day in this world. The people who went here were mostly students whom I saw back at the campus. The city is a small place so whenever there will be a party, it would only be a second before they will start swarming up.

I saw Brett and Ashford started going to the dancefloor. I stayed on the seat where I was sitting from the beginning and started pouring myself some more drink. I did not think that I would be getting a much exciting life in here. I just thought that I would be so bored that I would be eloping on my own to get back to the main city.

“I thought you would not be accepting him at all?” I felt someone sat beside me and it was Asley.

“What?” I mumbled.

“I thought you do not like him at all?” he repeated.

“Well, that is in the first time I saw him. Now, I just thought that he could be cool sometimes.” I explained and he chuckles.

“Wow, girls are really unpredictable.” He commented and I laughed, sarcastically.

“Wow, boys are really inflexible.” I commented and he laughed at the same time, too.

“What do you think would happen if things went in opposite way?” he said as I stared on him waiting for him to say the next lines.

“What if I am the one who jokingly asked you t be mine, what would you answer?” he added.

“Are you out of your mind?” that was the only words that came out off my mouth the moment I heard his words.

“Lis! Here you are!” the conversation was cut as Luke suddenly arrive out of nowhere.

“Asley, I did not know that you are here too.” He said as he changed the tone of his voice.

“I just wanted a drink.” He plainly answered and stood up as he grabbed a glass full of drink.

We just watched him walk away without looking back. Luke sat on the seat where Asley took off and now he is smiling at me.

“I did not know that you would actually accept that proposal of mine.” He said to me as I chuckles while shaking my head in disbelief.

“I did not know that you proposed something earlier?” I answered, and he looked on me at a real disbelief.

“I was just joking. Besides, this was all a pretending, right? I can get with it.” I explained as I heard him scoffed.

“This is not a pretending, Lis. I do like you and what do you want me to do to prove it to you?” he exclaimed. His face looks so serious that he literally looks like he is not playing around me or anything. I do get it, but the problem is, I do not want it.

“Then, make me believe on it. I do not want to expect anything from you, but you are making me.” I answered and stood up. I walked away without looking back and without waiting for his answer.

That is a nonsense, that is an idiotic of me to say some words like that to him. I do not want anything, I do not even want to get involve in anything that might… that might wanting me stay back in this place.

And I hate that.

“Lisanna, this party is great!” and that was my twin who is now drunk but still holding a glass with a hard drunk.

“Risanna, we are leaving.” I firmly said to her and I grabbed her wrist then dragged her with me out of the place.

“Lis, what is happening? You are the star of the party, why are you leaving?” she asked to me and threw my hand off from her.

“That is the main reason why I am leaving. I do not want to be the star.” I answered and she scoffed.

“Why? Because are you still in love with Axel that you think that you cannot move on from him? That is s**t, twin. Life is too short for you to love only guy.” She said to me and with that, I burst out laughing.

“That is not what I am trying to say!” I exclaimed while still laughing.

“Then what?” she asked and crossed her arms.

“I do not like, him, Luke.” I answered and she gasps.

With that one single answer that came out from me, she immediately let out a deep sigh. She nodded rhythmically like all of her thoughts were right from the start and she just heard a final and conclusive evidence from me.

“You are insane, sister.” She commented at me and suddenly burst out into a huge laugh.

“I know, and I probably should stop this before it gives us a huge problem.” I said and she grabbed my hand, letting myself being pulled by her.

“Do not ever think of doing that.” she firmly said to me, as I stared on her.

“What are you talking about? Do you know what would happen if I do pretend that I like him?” I exclaimed and she smirked.

“Why pretend? Why not trying to really like him.” She said like it was the best option that we have.

“I just can’t say to myself to like him, or maybe you were right. Maybe I am still hanging on a thin thread connected with Axel- maybe I am really an idiot.” I said to her and she slowly letting my hand go.

“If you say so, that is your own heart and you are thinking with your own mind. Do whatever you want.” She said to me before she made her final move.

I watch her walk away from me, she is going to the direction towards home and I just followed her without uttering any word. The two of us got home and we went into separate ways like strangers. I do not know what to say further and she is probably drunk by now, both of us have to get some rest. I entered my room, sat heavily on the bed and leaned my back on the huge pillow. I grabbed my phone as I saw dozens of messages coming from Luke, he keeps on asking me if I was alright or if I do got home safe. I do not even have the energy to reply on each of those messages, so I just lie down and close my eyes- letting myself get away with the drowsiness I felt for the first time since I arrived in this place.

But my subconsciousness is too strong that it keeps on giving me thoughts that I do not want about. I opened my eyes, stared for some while on the ceiling, then I heard my phone rings. I grabbed it without looking on its direction and answered it without looking on the screen.

“Hello?” I answered.

“Did Luke and you got in a fight?” I looked on the screen of my phone and it registered an unregistered number.

“Who is this?” I asked and I heard a few snickers.

“It was Asley, I just thought of getting your number from Kaira.” He answered.
