His Secret Hideout

1705 Words
(Lisanna) I kept on watching out for the road without any kind of expectations in me. I know that everything must have come by so quickly and now I am seeing myself with another man whom I am still not sure if I am already ready to trust him after what happened. He acted like his parents were the good ones and even Asley told me that Mr. Locke is our family's rival. And now, it seems like their connections and networks are not as shallow as I thought they would be. I have to know them more, and with that, a little digging will be good, which will start with Luke. I felt that the car stopped, and that was the signal for me to look around for the first time. We are currently on a much higher hill than we had been back at the chapel. He got out as I saw him walking on the other side, towards me when I decided to open the door for myself and plainly got out without his help. He scoffed upon seeing me do that as I walked ahead of him, away from the car. This place is literally a breather, it seems like we have been in hiking and this is the peak. I continued walking around, checking every angle of the view. I smiled as I let out a deep sigh, inhaling the fresh air I had around me and exhaling all the stressful things I had been through. "You are such a more romantic guy than you looked." I commented as he chuckled. "Well, I could be both. Do you want to see more of me?" he flintily asked to me as he slowly walked towards me and grabbed me by my waist. "What will you do if I answered yes?" I asked and moved a little bit closer to him. "You are really an unpredictable one." he answered as I laughed upon hearing that. He started to walk away as I called him. "Hey..." I said as he lightly looked back at me with his curious look on his face. "I might give you a chance, a real one." I said as he smiled. "Did I not already snatch that chance?" he goofily asked as I scoffed in disbelief and shook my head. "And you are really a weird one." I answered back. "Come on, we have to go there before the sunset." he said as he continued walking away from me. I gave the whole view the final look as I put my hand in my left pocket, and started walking. I was just following him when I finally saw a huge house in the distance. It looks so big that I think it could be a castle from the past. It is not a tall house, instead, it is a wide one having long walls and a gate in front. "Tell me, do you own this?" I asked as he nodded. "Yeah, my secret hideout." he answered as he pressed something on the gate, as it immediately opened both its gates widely. I think he just scanned his fingerprint and it was a very quiet place. No one was in any sight, but Luke comfortably walked in the aisle as I saw a huge fountain in the middle. He looked around like he is searching for something, as he finally flashed a satisfactory smile upon looking in the other way. "I have not yet been here for months and I was thinking maybe you could help me decorate it." he said to me as I stopped and stared at him for a while. "Why is that? Will there be a party or something?" I asked as he stopped and looked back before entering the house. "This will now be your house, for you and for your twin." he answered as my eyes widened in surprise. "What? Our house will be fine, we will be okay there." I answered and he walked towards me as he holds on my both shoulders. "You might be alright, but I will not be. I will continue to get worried about you, your life will now be in great danger." he explained to me as I nodded. "I can take care of myself, we can do it." I answered back as I tried to reassure him. "I know that you can, but I am still worried. Please just follow my words." he desperately said to me. "Alright, what should I do now?" I answered as my sign of giving up to his wishes. "You have build another image, you have to show them that Kings are still the leader of the Trident and you have to live with it." he answered as I scoffed. "Can I just one quick question?" I said and he nodded. "Why did Asley become the leader when their family is not the leader?" I asked and he bit his lower lip before answering my question. "There were no inheritors of the family of Kings, and the next in ranking was Asley' family." he answered as he finally entered the house, letting the entrance doors been opened wide, like it was inviting me to come in. I did not have any choice but to come in and follow him inside the house. It was really a spacious one, like the one I have always been dreaming to live in. But this is not the time to be happy having a new place like how it was in my imagination and dreams. "So, what will I do now to become one of you?" I asked him upon seeing him at the living room and looking at the picture frames displayed in here. I grabbed one as I saw pictures of him with the gang, it was really his secret hideout seeing that he got no pictures of his parents. I wonder if he also got that sad and lonely story behind his smiles of being a casanova. "I told you, you got nothing to do as you already got that surname at the end of your name." he answered and nonchalantly put the frame back down and walked away again. I am now starting to get tired on following him, so I sat at the couch and waited for him to get back. And I am right, he went back at me holding some drinks in which I thought would be a weird one. "I thought you have not yet been here for months? But how could a drink came out from that fridge without being expired?" I asked and he laughs. "That is because someone would always go in here and take care of this property. I just did not live in it, I did not say that I will abandon it." he answered as I gasps and nodded. "Right, sorry for not be able to understand you between the lines." I sarcastically said to him and he chuckles. He put down the drink on the table in which I quickly grabbed the can and sipped from it. "What are we going to do here? Let the time get passed until the night came?" I asked and leaned my back at the seat. "Why? Are you now getting excited for the night to come that quick?" he again teased me with those words as I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "I have to get back, Risanna will be alone at the house." I answered and he burst out laughing. "I was just joking, you do not have to be that serious. Where did that queen of the arcade gone to?" he asked as I stared on him for a second, as I silently sipped the drink again before answering. "She was gone, and the one that was left is Lisanna King who is now stuck with her boyfriend called Luke the clown." I continuously said with great sarcasm and he is laughing on me once again. I am not so sure if he was the clown or me, seeing that people laughs whenever I am saying something. "Do not worry for your twin, she will be staying with my parents . And, you have to stay the night with me, here." he firmly said to me as I just found myself getting quiet without complaining or shot at him right after. "Whoa, you are much scary being quiet than being a noisy one." he commented as I grinned. "And, I will take that as a compliment." I answered and stood up. "How about giving me a house tour?" I suggested as a huge smile formed on his face. He put down the drink and stood up at the same time. He extended his hand towards me as I only looked on it. "Come on, you will going to like what I will show to you." he said as I nodded and put my hand on his. He started dragging me as we walked towards the other end of the house. I might me looking around for curiosity but at the same time, I am guarding up myself to the different possiblities that maybe... possibly enough that Luke might be the culprit after all. "Here. You can use this as your training grounds." that voice of his snapped at me as I looked what was in front of me. It was a firing place. I saw the targets at the end of the land with the guns displayed at the locked glass on the wall at the side. "Are you using guns whenever you wanted?" I asked and he shook his head. "Holding a gun is an inevitable training for the inheritors, meaning the children next in line." he answered to me as I nodded. "Do not ever worry, I know how to hold one." I answered and he looked at me with surprised. "Come on, did I not win that little game I had when I got in here?" I said and he scoffs. "As I continue hearing your stories, my belief is not getting strong that you were actually raised to be the leader, after all." he answered as I laughs in disbelief and looked forward on it. ---
