Jonathan drove Olivia to the Harrison Villa personally.
He still felt some anger from the last time. He gently helped Olivia forward. As he was about to knock on the door, Olivia indicated that she would do it herself.
Creak! The gate opened from the inside, and a maid's head peeked out. Upon seeing Olivia, the maid frowned in disgust. But when she saw Jonathan, she trembled in fear.
"Why are you here again? You are not welcome here!" the maid said quickly and tried to close the gate.
Bang! Jonathan pressed the gate with his hand and looked at the maid coldly. "Olivia is the daughter of the Harrison family. Why can't she come in? Give me a reason!"
Jonathan's tone was cold and domineering. The maid couldn't move the gate at all.
"This is what the Harrison family has decided. If you keep causing trouble here, I'll call for help!" the maid said through gritted teeth.
Jonathan was about to lose his temper when a deep voice came from inside. "Let him in. If he wants a reason, I'll give him one. I want to see the bastard who damaged the Harrison family's reputation."
The maid immediately stepped back.
An elderly man with a cane, dressed in a black suit, stepped out with a dignified expression.
He was none other than Olivia's grandfather, Samuel Harrison.
Samuel, now in his seventies, had been in charge of the Harrison family for fifty years. He was the current head of the family and the helmsman of this great ship.
In Yonderville, Samuel was considered a significant figure. He had led the Harrison family from frugality to wealth.
"Grandpa, Olivia is so bold. She brought this scumbag back. She's deliberately trying to humiliate us." Sophia supported Samuel, staring fiercely at Jonathan and Olivia.
She harbored a deep hatred towards Olivia. Despite being Olivia's cousin, she could never win Samuel's favor and affection. When it came to significant events, Samuel's thoughts were always occupied by Olivia.
Five years ago, Olivia had a scandal that shook Yonderville. She bore Jonathan's child and was finally expelled from the Harrison family. Then Sophia took Olivia's place and gained a foothold in the family. She never wanted Olivia to rise again. She would rather see Olivia dead outside.
Samuel's face darkened as he stared at Olivia and spoke coldly, "Olivia, have you forgotten what you did five years ago? You ruined the Harrison family. We spared you because you are my granddaughter! But why are you here again? Sophia said you need my help. You don't have the right to negotiate with the Harrison family. Get out now!"
"Grandpa!" Olivia burst into tears at the sight of Samuel.
In the past five years, she had longed for her family dearly.
She knew she had disgraced the Harrison family.
Samuel had always doted on her. Five years ago, she had a one-night stand with her best friend Bethany Stewart's fiancé, Jonathan Parker, and gave birth to Ruby. The Harrison family offended the Stewart family and many other families and became a laughingstock in Yonderville. They even lost the opportunity to rise to a top-tier family, but Samuel didn't punish her much.
So, Olivia never blamed the Harrison family or Samuel.
Seeing Samuel now, she was overwhelmed with guilt and couldn't stop crying.
Jonathan held Olivia's arm tightly. He knew her thoughts and blamed himself.
It wasn't Olivia's fault. They just fell into the trap of the Stewart family and the four major families.
That night, Bethany deliberately drugged him. It changed the destinies of him and Olivia completely.
However, the kind Olivia kept it a secret and took it all upon herself.
The once cheerful girl had now become a mother. She had suffered so much over the past five years.
"Grandpa!" Olivia pushed Jonathan away and bowed before Samuel, crying, "Grandpa, I'm back. It's my fault. Please forgive me!"
Samuel's eyes were filled with disappointment and disgust. He said coldly, "Stop pretending. If you came alone, I might have thought you had repented. But why are you here with this man now? I have to go out. Move aside!"
"Did you hear that? Olivia, you wretched woman, get out of the way! Grandpa has important business. Don't you dare delay him!" Sophia yelled. "Guards, pull this b***h away!"
"Back off!" Jonathan suddenly stepped forward. Under his threatening gaze, the guards froze in place.
Jonathan's terrifying gaze from last time was still etched in their minds.
"You scumbag, how dare you mess with the Harrison family? I should have recognized you last time. You're that bastard from the Parker family!" yelled Sophia.
Samuel spoke up angrily, "So, it's you. Olivia, what do you have to say for yourself now?"
Sophia added, "Olivia, Grandpa already said he wouldn't pursue the past issues. Why did you come back? Are you here to demand money from us for your little bastard?"
"No, no, I just..." Olivia bit back tears and shook her head vigorously. "I just want to ask Grandpa to save Jonathan and Ruby."
"Save them?" Samuel frowned at Olivia.
"We've heard about your situation. This scumbag offended the Roberts family. Your family of three can just wait to die." Sophia recalled something and quickly explained it to Samuel. Then, with distaste, she turned to leave as if she never wanted to see Olivia again. "Stop bothering us and don't tell anyone you're a Harrison. We've suffered enough because of you."
Jonathan couldn't bear it any longer and held Olivia's hand. "Olivia, it's not worth it. If the Harrison family won't help us, then forget it."
"No! The Roberts family's influence is far beyond our imagination. If Grandpa doesn't help us, how can you handle it alone?" Olivia took a few quick steps and grabbed Samuel's sleeve, pleading, "Grandpa, please wait. I have something to say."
