As soon as Vincent finished speaking, a muffled sound reached his ears. It was the sound of footsteps; he felt as if someone was stepping directly on his heart.
Every member of the Roberts family present felt the same. Their limbs turned cold and stiff from the sound.
'What's coming from that direction?' Everyone in the Roberts family looked towards the source of the sound in unison.
"Thud! Thud! Thud!" At the end of the road, through the curtain of rain, and their hazy vision, they saw thousands of figures, who seemed to be moving in unison, but they were still far away. The first thing they could see clearly was a few black umbrellas.
Under the black umbrellas were two members of the Thunderbolt Squad, who were guarding Jonathan in the center. There were just three people in total.
A burning hatred was all that could be seen on Jonathan's face. "I, Jonathan Parker, have arrived. Roberts family, prepare to die!"
Boom! As he spoke, a lightning bolt flashed across the sky, accompanied by a clap of thunder. Even the ground shook with the rumble of the thunder.
"Jonathan! Your arrogance ends today!"
Vincent straightened up and roared in anger, but then his brow furrowed.
Smack! Jonathan suddenly threw a bloodied Michael into the rain.
The rain stung Michael's wounds, causing him to curl up on the ground and cry out, "Aaaaah! Dad... Dad! Save me, Dad! Kill them! You must kill them! They've crippled me! I'm going insane from their torture! You will have no son left!" Michael looked at Vincent, standing not far away, like he had found hope and desperately screamed.
Bang! Jonathan frowned and stepped on Michael's back, "You talk too much."
"Jonathan! How dare you touch me! Today, you die! This is the Roberts family's villa! This is my home! Vincent is my dad! He will kill you without hesitation! He will skin you alive and tear you to pieces! Oh, right, Olivia! I'll keep you alive so you can watch me torment her! I should have killed your little bastard back then!" Michael roared with great fury.
But this only angered Jonathan. With a slight press of his foot, the sound of Michael's bones breaking rang through everyone's ears.
"Aaaaah! It hurts! It's killing me! Dad, save me..." Michael tried to scream, but the great pressure from Jonathan rendered him almost mute.
Jonathan didn't even glance at Michael; he only stared coldly at Vincent!
"Jonathan, I must admit, you are very brave. You only brought three people, and you still had the courage to come here, but it doesn't matter. You've hurt my son, so you will face the wrath of the Roberts family! I'll give you one last chance. Release my son and lick the bottom of his shoe. I might let you die in one piece if you do so." Vincent's voice was low but carried great authority to everyone present.
Jonathan remained unfazed, the murderous glint in his eyes growing stronger by the second. "Vincent, you got it wrong. Today, I'm here to collect the debts the Roberts family owes me. I will take back everything my wife and daughter lost from the Roberts family today!"
"Hahaha!" Vincent clapped his hands as if he heard a hilarious joke. "Really? Just the three of you? Fine! Let me show you what you're up against!"
"Thud! Thud! Thud!" Hundreds of men in black suits suddenly rushed out from all directions. The dense sound of footsteps mixed with splashes of water formed an ominous sound.
All these men carried machetes and many had loaded guns on their waists. In an instant, they surrounded Jonathan and his men, with black muzzles pointed at Jonathan's head.
But that wasn't all. Behind Vincent, a dozen more figures with a completely different aura appeared. While just standing there, they exuded an immense pressure. Ordinary people wouldn't even dare to look them in the eye.
These were the elites secretly trained by the Roberts family overseas.
They had undergone daily secret training and faced numerous life-threatening battles. They had become powerful fighters by walking over countless corpses.
"Jonathan, this is the Roberts family! With a single command, hundreds will sacrifice their lives for us," Vincent sneered, his eyes full of pride.
"No one in Yonderville can gather the power to rival the Roberts family. Even the mayor and the police chief wouldn't dare try to shake the hands of Roberts family easily. You should be grateful to become the stepping stone for the Roberts family's rise to greatness. Your death is worth it!" Vincent's eyes sparkled as if he had already seen the glorious future of the Roberts family.
"Hahaha! Jonathan, did you hear that? Let me go now! Do you think you can leave alive today? Hahaha, get on your knees and lick the bottom of my shoe!" Michael laughed wildly as a truly mad expression appeared on his face. He saw not only hope for survival but also the urge for revenge. He wanted to trample Jonathan underfoot.
After hearing this, Jonathan laughed sarcastically. The Roberts family was indeed a force to be reckoned with in Yonderville. But to Jonathan, compared to those world-dominating criminals, the Roberts family was nothing.
As a five-star general, Jonathan had faced enemies and forces far more terrifying than the Roberts family. He had survived through gunfire and bullets. Yet in the end, he captured and eliminated them all.
"A bunch of ants," Jonathan muttered softly. His voice was so low that no one else heard it.
"Jonathan! I'll give you one last chance! The seven days are almost up. Release my son now! Otherwise, you and your family will die horribly!" Vincent waved his hand.
Click, click, click. The sound of bullets being loaded into a clip filled the air.
However, Jonathan suddenly laughed, "I only said he could live for another seven days, but I never said I wouldn't kill him."
Jonathan launched a fierce kick, with his military boot landing solidly on Michael's face.
"Aaaaah!" Michael screamed in agony. The impact force sent him reeling backward.
Blood gushed from his nose and mouth as he collapsed in front of Vincent.
Michael's face was a bloody mess, completely unrecognizable at that moment. Only his bloodshot eyes remained wide open. He stretched out his trembling hand with great difficulty and made his final gesture in this world.
He grasped at Vincent's shoe, whimpering, "Dad... avenge me..."
Michael was dead! He died right in front of his father, Vincent.
