Eddy was momentarily stunned by the words, but quickly recovered and laughed, "No, Miss Harrison, you're overthinking it. I just realized my mistakes. Mainly, it's because Declan and his family are not good people! Working with them made my conscience uneasy, so I..."
Olivia looked skeptical but didn't press further and followed him into the factory.
Meanwhile, a man arranged by Sophia was hiding at the factory entrance, watching the scene from a distance. A look of surprise flashed in his eyes. He quickly made a phone call, "Mrs. Harrison, Olivia and Eddy have entered the factory."
"Did you see anything?" Sophia asked anxiously from her office.
"Nothing, but wait! It's strange. Eddy seemed like a different person. He apologized to Olivia." The man relayed everything he had just seen to Sophia.
When Sophia heard this, she frowned, quickly hung up the phone and looked at her father. "Dad, something is wrong. Eddy apologized to Olivia."
"What? How could this happen? Eddy? That greedy scoundrel apologized to a powerless girl?" Declan looked shocked.
"No, no, I should have realized this earlier. There must be a reason why Olivia has been successful repeatedly! There must be someone behind this. It seems like she has found herself a powerful backer." Declan thought for a moment and said confidently.
Then, Declan sneered grimly, "But even if she has a powerful backer, she had already sold herself! She must have slept with him! Sophia, in the next few days, get close to Olivia and see if there's someone powerful behind her! If you can find direct evidence of their affairs, we can ruin her easily!"
Sophia understood but was reluctant, thinking that Olivia would still be smooth for a few more days. "Alright," she replied unwillingly.
Meanwhile, early in the morning, Jonathan headed to the nearby 4S shop with Ruby.
Olivia had been rushing to work by bus every day lately. Jonathan had noticed and felt distressed. His wife deserved a car, so she wouldn't have to wake up early and work so hard every day.
When Jonathan arrived at the 4S shop with Ruby, several saleswomen were chatting in the large showroom, ignoring him. He chose a Mercedes-Benz E-Class car, which cost about 50,000 dollars.
He opened the door to try it out when a voice full of disdain came from behind, “What are you doing?! Who let you in? You can't just open the car door like that! This car costs 50,000 dollars. Can you afford it if you cause damage?”
A young woman in a black uniform skirt and black stockings walked over. She was beautiful but looked very disdainful.
“What's wrong with you?” Jonathan asked.
“You? Do you think you can afford this car? Open your eyes and take a look. This is the latest Mercedes-Benz E-Class, top of the line, costing 50,000 dollars.” The saleswoman sneered, looking him up and down.
“I know, that's why I want to buy it,” Jonathan replied calmly.
“What did you say? You think you can buy a Mercedes? Look at yourself. You bring a kid to buy the car and look like a beggar, and say you want to buy a car? We meet about a dozen people like you every day who just enter the shop and don't buy any cars. It's annoying! Just leave, you're not welcome here!” The saleswoman waved him off impatiently.
Jonathan's face darkened. The other saleswomen laughed, joining in the ridicule.
“This is hilarious. A poor guy claims he wants to buy a car?”
“I saw him come in earlier. Who brings a kid to buy cars? That kid might pee on the floor, and we'd get scolded by the manager. So, I didn't bother to greet him.”
“We should put up a sign that says 'No Entry for the Poor and Dogs' at our door. It's tiring to deal with people who don't buy any cars.”
The saleswoman sneered and scolded, “Did you hear that? You don't belong here. Get out!”
Ruby, in Jonathan's arms, was scared by the saleswoman's yelling. “Daddy, let's go. I'm scared,” she said.
Jonathan smiled softly, patting Ruby's head. “Okay.”
Then he stared coldly at the saleswoman. “What's your name?”
The saleswoman snorted, crossing her arms and said, “What, you want to come after me? Many guys talk big like you, but none have any real power. My name is Charlotte Lee! I'll be waiting right here for you. Now, get lost! Poor loser! Do you think you can afford a car?”
With that, she strutted away, not caring about Jonathan's feelings.
Jonathan left the shop with Ruby. Outside, he called Benjamin. “The Mercedes dealership on the Pearl Street, get Dorian and his men over here!”
After speaking, Jonathan walked over to the nearby BMW shop.
As soon as he entered, he felt a warm atmosphere. A salesman greeted him with a big smile, slightly bowing and asking respectfully, "Sir, are you here to buy a car? Have you looked at any specific models before? I can help you with the introduction."
Jonathan shook his head and said, "I haven't looked at any. Please introduce that car to me." He pointed to the latest BMW 5 Series.
"Sure, sir. This is our BMW 5 Series. It has..." The salesman quickly introduced the car's features, price, and other details. Jonathan listened, nodding. Finally, he took out his bank card and said, "Swipe the card. I'll take this one."
The salesperson was stunned for a moment, then confirmed, "Sir, are you sure you want to buy this car? Don't you want to hear more about it?"
Jonathan smiled and said, "No need. It's good enough. I'm buying it for my wife to use for commuting. Also, you worth it. I'll take this one."
Hearing this, the salesman's face broke into a wide smile. He quickly nodded and said, "Sure, sir. I'll handle the paperwork right away. Please wait in the lounge area. There are snacks and treats. Your little girl must like them."
As he spoke, he led Jonathan to the lounge area and brought over some snacks. He squatted down, handing the treats to Ruby and gently patting her head. "Sir, your daughter is so cute. I just became a father last week. I hope my daughter will be as cute as yours."
Jonathan smiled and said, "She will be."
The salesman quickly went to the manager's office to handle the paperwork.
In less than ten minutes, all the paperwork was completed, and Jonathan received the car keys, ready to drive the car away.
As Jonathan walked out of the showroom, all the employees at the BMW shop greeted him with smiles. Each person held a small flag, waving them as Jonathan approached, creating a festive atmosphere.
"Congratulations on your new car, Mr. Parker. We wish you safe travels!" The employees cheered in unison, with applause filling the place with joy.
The manager stepped forward, shaking hands with Jonathan and handing him a gift box containing keychain and brand memorabilia. "We hope you enjoy every journey with your new car."
The ceremonial arrangements made every customer feel respected and enhanced the sense of ritual and satisfaction in the car-buying experience.
Naturally, this caught the attention of the nearby Mercedes dealership employees. All the saleswomen crowded at the entrance, peering out. "They made a sale early in the morning. Who is it? Looks like someone paid in full for the car."
"Hey, they're coming out! Ms. Lee, come and take a look!"
"Looks like a rich man. Buying a BMW must be easy for him. But why did he only enter BMWs and not come to our shop?"
Charlotte had walked over by now. Following her colleagues' gaze, she saw the new BMW 5 Series driving out from the BMW shop.
"Hey, look at the person driving the car. Doesn't he look like the guy we just kicked out?" Suddenly, someone asked. All of them froze, staring intently at the man in the driver's seat.
