By the roadside, a few men in suits watched the new car slowly drive out of the shop, nodding and bowing in respect. The leader was the manager of the BMW dealership, whom the saleswomen recognized.
"Nonsense! How could it be that poor guy with a kid!" Charlotte said coldly, full of disdain.
"Exactly! That guy's clothes were practically worn out, and he brought a kid to buy cars. If he actually bought that BMW 5 Series, I'd resign on the spot." Another saleswoman chimed in, followed by the group's laughter. However, what happened next silenced them all and made their eyes widen in shock!
Jonathan got out of the car, holding Ruby. He spoke with the manager of the BMW shop, then turned to look at the stunned saleswomen at the Mercedes shop entrance and smiled slightly.
At this point, all of them, including Charlotte, were stunned, their minds blank.
"Oh my God! It really is him!"
"How is that possible? He looked so poor. How could he afford a BMW 5 Series? And isn't that the top model, costing over 80,000 dollars?"
"Oh my god! What have I done? He was probably going to buy the Mercedes E-Class, and I didn't even greet him."
The saleswomen were in a panic, especially Charlotte, whose pupils trembled with regret. But she still couldn't understand how Jonathan, who seemed so poor, could afford a BMW 5 Series.
Although the car cost 80,000 dollars, it wasn't easy for an average person to buy. Even as the top salesperson, she couldn't afford it! Her dream was to marry a rich man and was able to sit in one of those luxury cars.
"Ms. Lee, wasn't this man the one you kicked away? Maybe you should go ask." Someone suggested, and instantly, all eyes turned to Charlotte.
Feeling extremely awkward but also strongly resentful, Charlotte ran over to Jonathan, who was about to get into his car, and grabbed the car door, asking, "Wait a minute, did you just buy this car?"
Jonathan frowned, looking at the skeptical woman, and asked, "Is there a problem?"
Charlotte immediately shouted, "I don't believe it! How could a poor guy like you afford such a good car! You must have rented it."
Jonathan sneered and said, "Miss, is this car so expensive?"
'Is it not expensive? It costs 80,000 dollars. For most people, that kind of money isn't easy to come by. How can this guy be so arrogant?' Charlotte thought.
She shook her head, almost hysterically shouting, "Show me the paper! I don't believe you! You must prove it to me!"
Jonathan looked angrily and said, "Are you crazy? Why should I show it to you?"
"I knew it! You can't afford this car. You just rented it! You're just a poor loser!" Charlotte shouted, as if she had found Jonathan's weakness.
Suddenly, the BMW shop manager, who had hurried over, slapped Charlotte hard across the face, his expression changed in anger.
"You crazy woman! That's enough! What kind of attitude is that towards my customer? This car was just bought outright by Mr. Parker! And last month, when you switched to the neighboring dealership, you breached your contract! I didn't sue you out of kindness. But now you dare to disrespect my customer? Do you want to be banned from this industry?"
The manager was furious. He had long been displeased with Charlotte. When she switched jobs, she even took many of his customers to the rival dealership. That wasn't just a choice, it was malicious competition.
Holding her reddened cheek, Charlotte pointed at the manager and shouted angrily, "How dare you to hit me?"
"I must stop you from disrespecting my customer!" the manager roared, making Charlotte tremble. Then he turned to Jonathan with a fawning smile and said, "Mr. Parker, I'm sorry for the scene. Can I escort you?"
Jonathan smiled lightly and said, "No need. Just wait. It should be soon."
"What?" The manager was puzzled, not understanding what he meant.
But at that moment, dozens of black Mercedes-Benz cars drove down the street, heading straight for the entrance of the Mercedes dealership! The car doors opened, and dozens of men in black suits got out, waiting respectfully for the door of the white Maybach at the front to open.
This scene shocked all of them. So many Mercedes cars, and even a Maybach? Especially the employees at the Mercedes dealership. They all ran out, their faces full of respect and excitement. To them, this must be a best client, a very wealthy person.
Even the Mercedes dealership manager hurriedly ran out of the store, almost tripping over himself in his haste.
Suddenly, dozens of men in black suits stood orderly on one side of the road, while on the other side, a dozen Mercedes dealership employees, led by the manager, bowed respectfully, waiting.
Charlotte shot a cold, disdainful glance at Jonathan and sneered, "So what even if you bought a lousy BMW? Look at this, it's real wealth! A true rich person with a whole fleet."
With that, she quickly ran over, eager to greet this client.
Even the BMW dealership manager looked on enviously, saying, "Their shop is going to make a killing again. Such a big client could clear out their entire inventory."
Jonathan heard this and smiled lightly, saying, "What if they aren't here to buy a car?"
The manager was startled at the thought. If they weren't here to buy a car, then what could they be here for? A bad feeling crept into his mind.
Then, under everyone's gaze, the door of the Maybach opened, and out stepped Dorian, dressed in a gray suit, wearing a gray top hat, and with a pipe in his mouth.
