Jack sweated in fear.
He had never seen anything like this before. Jonathan had called in the military with a single call, and they were sent by Colonel Elliott Wellington! It felt like a dream.
However, Jack wasn't one to easily admit defeat. He suddenly thought of something and shouted, "Impossible! This is all fake. They must be actors. Pretending to be soldiers is a capital offense."
Jonathan frowned. It was really troublesome.
"Security, get more men and arrest them all. They must be actors!" Jack screamed madly, but the security guards were too scared to move. The soldiers might be fake, but those armored vehicles were real.
Seeing that the guards weren't moving, Jack rushed toward Jonathan.
Suddenly, a stern voice came from the crowd, "What are you doing?" The crowd parted as Simon walked in, his face grim, with his assistant beside him.
Jack saw Simon and rushed over, like he had found a savior. "Mr. Reed, these people are pretending to be soldiers. They want to tear down our company!"
Smack! Simon squinted, slapped Jack hard across the face, and reopened his recently healed cut.
"Mr. Parker can tear it down if he wants," Simon said coldly. Everyone fell silent.
Under the astonished gaze of the crowd, Simon quickly walked over to Jonathan, bowed, and apologized respectfully. "Mr. Parker, I apologize for being late and causing you this inconvenience. Rest assured, I will handle it."
Jonathan nodded lightly and then walked into the elevator.
Simon turned and glared angrily at Jack. "You're fired! And I'll inform other companies in Yonderville not to hire you.
"And to everyone here, today's events stay between us. If anyone leaks anything, they will be fired and blacklisted. I won't let it go." After that, Simon hurriedly followed Jonathan into the elevator.
Once Simon left, the lobby erupted in a storm of conversations.
"Oh my God! Who is that guy? Even Mr. Reed treats him with such respect. Is he a big shot from somewhere else?"
"Unbelievable! He called in the military with just one call!"

Jonathan entered Simon's office and calmly sat down on the leather sofa. He looked at Simon and asked with a smile, "Do you know my identity?"
Simon smiled back. "Mr. Mayor hinted at it."
However, Jonathan shook his head. "Simon, you've changed a lot in these four years."
Simon was confused.
Jonathan pulled out a golden coin medal from his pocket and tossed it to Simon. The moment Simon saw the golden coin, he was shocked. He immediately bowed to Jonathan. "Boss."
Simon felt immense waves of emotions within him and recalled many past events. Four years ago, the Infinity Group faced a crisis. Its market value plummeted, and it was on the brink of bankruptcy. Just when Simon stood on the rooftop, ready to end his life, a mysterious account transferred a hundred million dollars to save the Infinity Group.
From that day, the Infinity Group flourished and expanded its industries. Simon became the richest man in Yonderville. All thanks to the mysterious "boss" who had given him the golden coin as a token.
Simon never imagined that the mysterious "boss" was Jonathan, the legendary five-star general.
Jonathan spoke calmly, "I'm here for one thing."
Simon sweated profusely and said, "Boss, whatever you need, I'll get it done."
"The Apex Group's project with Olivia needs building material suppliers. Contact some suppliers and make sure they sign contracts with Olivia. Keep my involvement a secret," Jonathan instructed.
Simon nodded. "Don't worry, boss. The Infinity Group already has its own supplier channels. I'll have someone bring the contracts tomorrow."
Jonathan nodded and left.
Simon escorted Jonathan to the entrance of the building. He didn't relax until Jonathan and Benjamin left in their jeep.
At that moment, Mark and Sophia stepped out of the building, laughing. They saw Simon at the entrance.
"Look, isn't that Mr. Reed?" Sophia said excitedly and grabbed Mark's arm.
"My God, it really is!" Mark said, equally excited. "Is Mr. Reed seeing someone off? That guy in the jeep looks a lot like Jonathan."
Sophia glared at the jeep. The reflection on the window did resemble Jonathan, but she scoffed, "Don't be ridiculous! What is Jonathan? Why would Mr. Reed see him off?"
Mark nodded. "You're right. I'm seeing Jonathan everywhere today."
He ran over to Simon, smiled obsequiously, and handed him his business card. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Reed. I'm Mark Newton from the Newton Group. Here's my card."
Simon turned around. His face darkened as he glanced at Mark's ingratiating smile. "The Newton Group?" He took the card, looked at it briefly, and then handed it to his assistant before walking away.
Mark bent over. "Take care, Mr. Reed."
Once Simon was out of sight, Mark straightened up and beamed with pride. He turned to Sophia. "We just closed a deal with the manager and ran into Mr. Reed. It's like God is favoring us."
Sophia was equally excited. "Definitely!"
"Hahaha! Let's celebrate. I'll buy you a bag," Mark said generously.
At the Harrison Group, an emergency meeting was called.
Samuel sat at the head of the table and said in a cold voice, "We just received news that some gang members have attacked and damaged four of our material processing plants. They also beat up delivery personnel from over ten of our partners and threatened to destroy any company that works with us. Now, all these suppliers have terminated their contracts with us.
"We are about to start our project with the Apex Group. We need to find new suppliers as soon as possible, or our family will bear the losses. This meeting is to choose someone to negotiate with these suppliers."
The executives started discussing anxiously.
"What should we do? Who is targeting us?"
"This is outrageous! Clearly, a competitor is behind this, trying to hinder our collaboration with the Apex Group!"
As everyone wracked their brains, Sophia suddenly raised her hand and said loudly, "Isn't Olivia in charge of the collaboration with the Apex Group? Let her negotiate with those suppliers."
