Chapter 76

Swish! Dorian's face turned pale with fear as he looked at Simon. He desperately tried to control his emotions. "Mr. Reed, I don't understand. Who did I offend?" Simon snorted and questioned, "Is Mason your man?" "Yes, he is," Dorian quickly replied. "But why?" Although Dorian spoke confidently, he had a bad feeling. Just moments ago, his men reported that Mason had been arrested by the police. Dorian had planned to get Mason released, but now it seemed Mason had crossed a significant figure. Bang! Simon kicked Dorian and scolded angrily, "If he's your man, then it's your fault. You'll pay for this." Then, he bowed respectfully. Dorian was stunned and started trembling. Simon Reed, the richest man in Yonderville, a man with immense wealth, power, and influence, was bowing humbly. It seemed he was waiting for someone important to arrive. It was unbelievable. Dorian's head spun, and his ears buzzed. He had never imagined seeing Simon act so subserviently. Panicking, Dorian pleaded with Simon, "Mr. Reed, please help me. It's not my fault. I just got the news. I'm in the dark here." Simon closed his eyes. "Save your energy. If he's angry, no one can save you." As Simon finished speaking, the screech of tires echoed outside the mansion. Then, footsteps approached rapidly until a formidable young man stood before them. Dorian cautiously glanced at Jonathan's cold and disdainful face. The power he radiated was terrifying. It made Dorian shudder uncontrollably. 'What an overwhelming presence!' Despite his years in the underworld, Dorian had never encountered anyone so intimidating. Benjamin stood behind Jonathan. He was towering and stern and radiated deadly intent. Dorian swallowed hard. He couldn't even fathom the capability of Benjamin. He realized that even if he marshaled all the guards in his mansion, they likely wouldn't stand a chance. Jonathan entered and asked with a frown, "Simon, do you know your mistake?" Simon bowed even lower. "Yes, Mr. Parker. Please punish me." Jonathan snorted and turned his icy gaze to Dorian, who was trembling. "Are you Dorian Campbell?" "Y-Yes." Dorian didn't dare look up. The cold sweat from his forehead dripped to the ground and formed a small puddle. Dorian could intimidate most people in Yonderville with a single word, but now, he was trembling and awaiting judgment like a guilty child. "Is Mason Shelton your man?" Jonathan questioned in a cold voice. Dorian didn't dare lie. "Yes, Mr. Parker, he is. But I didn't know he offended you. If I had known, I would have killed him myself. This has nothing to do with me. Please spare me." Dorian began to slap himself repeatedly, and soon, blood streamed from the corner of his mouth. Jonathan snorted and turned to Benjamin. "Bring Mason here." Benjamin quickly dialed a number. Within five minutes, police sirens blared outside. Kevin personally brought the handcuffed Mason in. Thud! Mason was thrown to the ground, bruised and battered. Seeing Dorian and Simon both bowing, he realized he wouldn't survive this. He desperately pleaded, "Sir, please spare me. I was wrong. I'll never do it again. I was ordered to do this. I took money for it. Please spare me." Mason crawled to Jonathan's feet and begged with all his might. Jonathan asked, "Who paid you?" Mason thought he had a chance and blurted, "It was Mark Newton from the Newton Group. He gave me fifty thousand dollars to do this. I'm innocent otherwise. This is how our business works. Please spare me." "Mark?" Jonathan's eyes flashed with murderous intent. Then he turned to Mason. "What you did was vile. Even without today's incident, you deserved to die." Boom! In an instant, Jonathan kicked Mason. The force sent Mason flying and crashing into a wall. The wall cracked under the impact. Mason's chest and abdomen were caved in with a footprint. His ribs were shattered, and his organs were crushed. Blood spurted from his mouth, and he died with his head lolling to the side. Seeing this, Dorian was utterly terrified. The sheer force required to shatter bones with a single kick was unimaginable. "Mr. Parker, I was wrong. Please spare my life. I can serve you like a slave. Please show mercy." Dorian's voice broke into sobs. He was consumed by fear.
