Chapter 79

Upon hearing that, Jonathan's face darkened. His eyebrows knitted together, and an aura of pure rage emanated from him. Something had definitely gone wrong. Whatever happened to Olivia today had to be connected to Declan's family. "Find out what's going on. I need to know if anyone bullied Olivia," Jonathan demanded coldly. *** About ten minutes later, at the Harrison family's factory on the outskirts, Dorian stood furiously in front of the factory manager, Eddy Hansen. Eddy trembled with fear and bowed repeatedly. Cold sweat poured down his forehead. He was surrounded by over a hundred men in black suits. They all looked fierce and imposing. The mere presence of these men was enough to keep Eddy from raising his head. He never imagined the factory would be swarmed by so many of Dorian's men one day. Dorian was a notorious figure in Yonderville's underworld. He was one of the city's elite crime lords. Dorian roared, "Eddy, you'd better tell the truth. If you offend Mr. Parker, you'll die a horrible death." Ten minutes ago, Dorian received a call from Benjamin. He was told to use all his resources to find out what happened with Olivia at the factory that afternoon. Dorian quickly brought over a hundred men to surround the factory. Eddy was drenched in sweat and he pleaded desperately, "Mr. Campbell, please spare me. This has nothing to do with me. Olivia did come here this afternoon, but I didn't even see her! I swear I'm telling the truth. You have to believe me." Dorian glared at him. "Eddy, I was in the underworld when you were still in diapers. Don't try to fool me. If you want to live, start talking. You don't have much time. When Mr. Parker arrives, you won't even get a chance to speak!" Eddy wiped the sweat from his face and struggled internally. Dorian let out a cold snort. "Since you want to die, wait here. When Mr. Parker comes, you'll spill everything." With that, Dorian stood aside and waited silently. Eddy trembled uncontrollably. Whoever made Dorian so deferential and fearful had to be terrifying. He understood this, but his fear had clouded his mind. "Mr. Campbell, I'll talk. Please, you have to believe me. This really wasn't my fault. Declan and Maeve slapped Olivia and threatened her to stay away from their business. I was just standing by. I didn't dare interfere," Eddy admitted hastily. "It's too late," Dorian said coldly. "When Mr. Parker arrives, you'll have to explain everything." Eddy nodded rapidly. He was too scared to even wipe his sweat. At that moment, a tall man walked through the door and exuded an aura of death. When Jonathan entered, Dorian personally brought him a chair. Seeing this, Eddy was both astonished and terrified. "Are you Eddy Hansen?" Jonathan sat down, his presence suffocating. "Yes, Mr. Parker," Eddy replied respectfully. His voice trembled with fear. Jonathan crossed his arms and asked icily, "I heard Declan and Maeve bullied my wife, Olivia. Is that true?" Eddy stammered, "Y-Yes. They came here today and gave me fifty thousand dollars to join them against Mrs. Parker. They had an argument with Mrs. Parker, slapped her, and said awful things." Eddy realized the man before him was Olivia's husband, Jonathan Parker. 'Isn't he the loser of the Parker family? Isn't he supposed to be a nobody? Why is Mr. Campbell so afraid of him? Who is he really?' Jonathan's murderous intent grew stronger. The chilling aura made everyone too afraid to look up. Swish! Dorian bowed immediately. "Please calm down." Seeing Dorian bow, Eddy was shocked. Even the entire Yonderville underworld respected Dorian. Now, he was bowing to Jonathan. Jonathan finally reigned in his aura and cast a cold glance at Eddy. "You know what to do." Eddy nodded. "I'll return the money immediately and cut all ties with Declan. I'll fully support Mrs. Parker and help her complete her orders. Please have mercy." Jonathan didn't respond. He simply stood up and glanced at Dorian. "Handle the rest. Don't disappoint me." Dorian nodded and watched as Jonathan left. Jonathan couldn't stay outside for long or reveal his identity. He didn't want unnecessary trouble. When Jonathan returned home, Olivia was sitting on the couch in a coat, waiting for him. "Where have you been?" Olivia asked. Jonathan froze and scratched his head awkwardly. Had Olivia figured something out?
