Chapter 29

Jonathan glanced sideways at Xavier and said coldly, "Xavier, it wasn't your turn yet, but since you're in such a hurry, I'll help you remember something! That day, you forced my parents to get on their knees. Today, I brought them here. You and Bethany will have to do the same and apologize to them!" Upon hearing this, Xavier stared at the cross and taunted, "Apologize to them? In your dreams! The Parker family is gone! Who do you think you are? I will never apologize to two dead people!" However, as soon as he finished speaking, he froze under Jonathan's horrible gaze as if he were prey under the watchful eyes of a predator! Xavier suddenly felt breathless, and Jonathan's voice reached his ears. "Sorry, but now I want you to apologize!" Jonathan suddenly grabbed a fork from the table. Whoosh! He threw the fork fiercely at Xavier, and it pierced through his knee. Blood started gushing out! "Ahhh!" Xavier screamed in pain and fell to his knees in front of the cross. He was drenched in cold sweat, his face filled with agony! It happened so fast that the people present couldn't even react! Jonathan had hit Ethan, insulted Bethany, and hurt the head of the Stewart family! He was insane! "Ah! My leg... my leg! I'll kill you! I'll kill you!" Xavier wailed. His cries were echoing through the hall. At the same time, the Stewart family bodyguards rushed in and surrounded Jonathan and Benjamin. Jonathan didn't even spare them a glance and just let Benjamin step forward. Thud, thud, thud! These bodyguards were sent flying. They crashed into tables and chairs! The entire hall was in chaos, with people lying on the ground, moaning in pain! Everyone was terrified for a moment before they finally reacted! ... "What happened to Jonathan? I remember he wagged his tail and begged the Stewart family like a stray dog!" After a long silence, a small voice was heard in the hall. It was faint, but Benjamin heard it clearly! Whoosh! Benjamin grabbed a fork and threw it at the man! "How dare you insult Mr. Parker! You are dead!" The fork flew straight into the man's throat! Everyone turned to look. The man who had been holding a wine glass was now dead, and blood was spurting from his neck. "Aaaaah!" The hall erupted into chaos, with screams echoing throughout. All the guests scrambled to flee! They were afraid of offending Jonathan, the man who felt as horrible as death itself! The hall was in utter turmoil! Amid the chaos, Bethany stood in place, stunned. Her engagement party was completely ruined! She glared at Jonathan, who had destroyed everything, but still remained calm and imposing. In that instant, Bethany suddenly felt a tinge of regret for what she did five years ago. Did she make the wrong choice? But it was too late! Bethany clenched her white wedding gown. A tear rolled down her cheek, not out of guilt for Jonathan but out of anger at him for ruining her engagement party. Jonathan had destroyed everything she had prepared for years! "Jonathan, that's enough!" Bethany couldn't hold back anymore and screamed at Jonathan, "This engagement is important to me! I won't allow anyone to ruin it! You shouldn't be here! Your presence is a disgrace!" Bethany cried out her grievances. Suddenly, she grabbed a knife and rushed toward Jonathan, aiming at his heart! At that moment, Jonathan remained calm. He merely glanced at Bethany and the knife in her hand. Crack! Jonathan gripped Bethany's wrist tightly and stared into her face coldly. "Do you regret what you did five years ago?" Bethany gripped the knife and tried to stab him desperately, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't move it an inch further! She sneered and screamed hysterically at Jonathan, "Regret? Never! If I regret anything, it's not killing you five years ago! If you had died back then, my engagement party wouldn't have been ruined today! It's all your fault! Because of you, I lost everything! So no, I don't regret it! I hate you! I hate you!" Upon hearing this, Jonathan's eyes turned cold. He shook his head, snatched the knife from her hand and threw it fiercely. Thud! The knife flew past Bethany's ear, cutting off a lock of her hair, and embedded itself in the wall. The handle of the knife was still vibrating. Bethany's mind was filled with that sound. She trembled all over with fear. She was genuinely scared! Jonathan was completely different from five years ago! If the knife had been just a little off, she would have been killed instantly! She was sure Jonathan just chose not to kill her; it wasn't that he didn't dare to! Jonathan swiftly turned around, took the cross from the table, and said through gritted teeth, "My feud with the Stewart family is not over! Tell the four major families that I, Jonathan Parker, will come one day to reclaim everything I lost! Let them prepare enough coffins! They will pay with their lives for what they did to my family!"
