As soon as Jonathan finished speaking, Jagger, Sally, and Chad were all stunned, and their faces turned grim immediately.
'Jonathan Parker? The one who disgraced the Harrison family back then? He had an affair with Olivia and caused the Harrison family to lose the chance to become a top-tier family in Yonderville!'
"Olivia, how dare you bring this trash back? Don't you know what the Harrison family went through because of him before? Are you back to take revenge on us?" Sally shouted sharply.
Jagger glared at Jonathan and Olivia and said coldly, "Olivia, take him out of here! We don't want to see you. Don't make me repeat myself." With that, Jagger turned to leave impatiently.
Olivia rushed over and clutched Jagger's sleeve, crying, "Dad, please don't drive me away. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. I miss you and Grandpa so much."
Olivia's crying was heart-wrenching.
Jonathan's heart ached, and he hurried forward to help Olivia up.
But before he could, Jagger snorted coldly, shook Olivia off, and shouted, "Fine, let him apologize to Chad, and I'll forgive you."
She shook her head desperately, tears streaming down her face. She couldn't ask Jonathan to apologize to Chad. Chad insulted her and Ruby. Jonathan did nothing wrong. But if she refused, she would remain abandoned by her family.
Jagger, as if anticipating Olivia's indecision, added, "Are you hesitating because of this bastard? Olivia, you let me down. From today on, you are not allowed to step foot in any place within the Harrison family's territory. And I, Jagger Harrison, am no longer your father. Consider your father already dead!" With that, Jagger walked away in large strides.
Sally glared at Olivia arrogantly and cursed, "Shameless b***h, we should have cut ties with you long ago!"
Chad spat with disgust. "Olivia, you brought this on yourself."
"Dad, please don't. What should I do? My dad doesn't want me anymore!" Olivia cried out loudly, trembling uncontrollably.
Ruby ran over from behind Jonathan, reached out for Olivia, and cried, "Mommy, don't cry. You still have me." She carefully wiped Olivia's tears.
Seeing this, Olivia cried even harder. She hugged Ruby tightly, lost in thought.
Jonathan's heart ached fiercely. His cheeks trembled, and he suddenly said, "Wait! Will you forgive Olivia if I apologize?"
Jagger stopped, turned around, and looked at him coldly. "Yes."
Without hesitation, Jonathan looked at Chad and said, "Sorry."
This word sounded ordinary to others, but if anyone who knew Jonathan heard this, they would be shocked.
Jonathan was a five-star general of Novaria. He commanded tens of thousands of soldiers with countless military achievements. Now, he was apologizing to the heir of a family for a woman. If the powerful people got to know this, they wouldn't even need Jonathan's loyal subordinates to act. They would destroy the Harrison family just to please Jonathan.
But Jonathan was willing to apologize. In his eyes, nothing was more important than Olivia and Ruby.
Olivia couldn't believe it either. Jonathan actually apologized to Chad for her. She wasn't touched but sad. She cried harder, shook her head constantly, and murmured, "Sorry, Jonathan. Sorry. It's all my fault."
However, Jonathan gently shook his head, walked over to Olivia, and hugged her and Ruby. "No need to apologize. I can give up everything for you. It's just an apology."
But as soon as he finished speaking, Chad shouted arrogantly, "Wait! Just an apology isn't enough. You have to bow and apologize. You broke my arm. I'll break yours too." He took a few steps forward and raised his hand to grab Jonathan's clothes.
Jonathan suddenly raised his head, his eyes filled with murderous intent.
"Don't push it!" Jonathan said each word slowly. Chad felt like he was plunged into ice water, and he started trembling. This murderous aura made him take several steps back.
For a moment, he almost thought he was going to die. Who was Jonathan? How could he have such terrifying eyes and aura?
Jagger squinted at Jonathan. 'This brat is so fierce!'
Jagger raised his hand and said, "Chad, enough! Go to the hospital and treat your broken arm."
After Chad left, Jagger said to Olivia and Jonathan, "Come in, but sit in the corner and just watch. If you cause any trouble, I won't let you off easily!"
Jonathan helped Olivia up and followed Jagger into the main hall. The hall had been redecorated. It was exquisite and magnificent and filled with guests busy celebrating Samuel's birthday.
At that moment, Sophia appeared in a black evening gown with her hair up. She looked elegant and charming. She approached Samuel and presented a delicate gift box.
"Grandpa, my boyfriend Mark bought this at a high price at an auction. It's good for your health."
Samuel's eyes lit up at once. "Good! Sophia, you are so thoughtful," Samuel said with a smile. He then handed Sophia a thick stack of bills from the butler's tray. "Honey, this is your pocket money. Take it."
"Thank you, Grandpa." Sophia's face lit up with joy. It wasn't just a stack of money. It was Samuel's recognition of her. She quickly stepped aside, revealing a handsome young man in a white suit in his twenties. The man stepped forward, bowed slightly, and said with a smile, "So nice to meet you, Mr. Harrison. I'm Mark Newton, the heir of the Newton Group."
Upon hearing that, the whole Harrison family gasped in shock.
"Wow! It's the heir of the Newton Group. Sophia is so lucky."
"The Newton Group is a famous enterprise in Yonderville. It's worth millions of dollars. The Newton family is a top second-tier family and much more powerful than the Harrison family."
"With such a boyfriend, Sophia's status in the Harrison family will surely rise."
Hearing these remarks, Mark grinned smugly. Sophia enjoyed everybody's envious eyes and felt extremely pleased.
Samuel hurriedly stood up and chuckled, "Mr. Newton, please have a seat." With that, he arranged for Mark to sit on his left.
Mark's eyes sparkled with confidence. He gave some symbolic compliments before sitting down without hesitation. Many people looked at the seat with envy, as it was next to Samuel, but they knew they were no match for Mark.
As for Sophia's parents, Declan Harrison and Maeve Clark Harrison, they were sitting on Samuel's right. Their faces were bright with pride.
While everyone was flattering Mark, Jagger entered with Sally and Chad, whose arm was in a cast. Olivia, Jonathan, and Ruby followed them in.
"Isn't that Olivia? Why is she here?"
"Who's that man beside her? He looks familiar."
"That b***h brought her little bastard back. Is she trying to anger Mr. Samuel Harrison?"
