Olivia leaned against Jonathan's chest and nodded weakly. She was utterly exhausted. But this embrace, for the first time in five years, brought her a warmth she had long forgotten. She wished time could stop so she could stay in this comforting embrace forever.
Without acknowledging Michael, Jonathan continued walking towards the car, intending to leave.
Feeling ignored, Michael was infuriated. He stepped forward and pressed the cold barrel of his gun to Jonathan's temple, shouting, "If you dare take her away, I'll blow your brains out!"
Michael realized Jonathan was the man Olivia had always been longing for! Because of this man, Olivia had repeatedly rejected him! He was the father of Ruby, that pesky little bastard!
Jonathan turned his head to give Michael a cold glare. "Try it."
