XXXII: Sacrificing

And with the power, they both pounced on Joshua. He realized that the attack was stronger and more ferocious, and with speed, he took his spear and waved it to repel them Veru dodged a blow and attacked the ankle of the wolf, seeing him defenseless, but Joshua, with agility, nailed the tip of his spear into the mouth of the vampire holding him to the ground.

Full of fear to see her lover impaled, Ira intends to back away. Joshua began to attack her, the woman barely dodging the claws of the werewolf that passed so close to her body to destroy the fabric of her light clothing.

Each attack passed closer and closer and accelerating faster than the vampire could anticipate. Joshua kicked her chest, making her rise from the ground. In the air, she could not dodge the blow that descended on her with force just at the moment that Veru took off the mouth of the spear to heal his wound.

Joshua’s claws penetrated Ira’s chest, but this smiling woman was no longer in danger. Grabbing Joshua’s arm, she wrapped her legs around the wolf’s torso and forcefully threw her bite onto his neck.

Joshua, at the last second, interposed his hand to stop the woman from biting his neck, but her fangs dug hard into Joshua’s arm. Just to feel how Veru behind his backbit his other shoulder hard. The bites were painful, and the vampires increased in strength with each drop of blood they extracted from the werewolf.

Ira released the wolf’s arm and prepared to go for the jackpot and to open her mouth to bite the wolf’s neck. She could not see how Joshua’s claws penetrated her chest while he attracted the spear with that same hand.

Joshua, with speed, caught the spear with the hand with which he had Ira pierced, and looking at Veru, he knew instantly that an attack in those circumstances would kill him, retreating at full speed, he made as much distance as possible while his beloved was impaled by the spear of Joshua on the ground.

Joshua watched him distance himself, and with a confused expression, he said, “Why are you running away?”

Just as he said that he twisted his spear in Ira’s chest, Joshua added with a cold smile,  “I have your wife, writhing. Why don’t you come to save her?”

Veru looked at Ira, and she was suffering from the pain that that attack caused her. He still said through clenched teeth, “She understands! As long as I am alive, she will survive!”

Joshua smiled. He was not a good person or a werewolf. Also, there was no such thing as being soft on a battlefield. With that in mind, he forcefully embedded the spear on the ground, impaling Ira completely and, with his claws, ripped off both arms.

“Now I understand. I must kill you at once!” Joshua said while looking at Veru.

When he said that, the werewolf shot towards Veru. Ira was still impaled on the ground while Joshua ran at full speed in the direction of Veru.

When he arrived with his claws, he tried to cut the Vampire several times, but this one moving with speed evaded all the attacks.

Joshua wanted to hold him but failed and, in the process, received a strong kick from Veru that made him recoil.

With force, he advanced and turning only his hand into the wolf’s claw, and he threw a strong claw that ripped Veru’s arm from the cut.

The totally terrified vampire ran away screaming.

“Ira, hurry! Get out of there. This guy is going to kill me!”

Joshua hit Veru twice more, and with each impact, another part of his body shot out, but when the vampire collided with the wall with no escape. Ira swiftly fell on Joshua, and biting part of his neck made him jerk and recoil.

The girl shot out with Joshua’s shaking. She still had no arms, so it was impossible for her to hold on, but when her limbs rose like Veru’s, she would regenerate again.

Joshua drew the spear to him, and looking at them, they both climbed to their respective pedestals, smiling.

“It is impossible to win alone! Your defeat was sealed from the first moment. Prepare to die, werewolf!” Veru screamed.

And taking a deep breath, Joshua watched as both vampires threw themselves to kill him, but a sandstorm arose at that moment when the vampires backed away.

When Edith was next to Joshua, she looked at him, and her hand was planted on his shoulder when the witch said, “Let’s get rid of these asshole vampires.”

Joshua looked at her with unmasked warmth in his eyes before he said with a smile, “Not your darling. Rest, we will take care of it.”

And behind some bars on the side of the room, Seraphim appeared, saying, “We already know what there is to know! Time to kill these morons! “

And with those words, the new battle began.

Seraphim was advancing towards Edith, who was protecting Joshua, she was looking at her, and the two vampires on the pedestals, who seconds ago were terrified that Joshua was going to kill them, were now smiling.

Seraphim looked at them and, containing a smile, asked, “Are they stupid or what?”

Edith did not know what was happening, but she asked with worry, “Can you move Joshua?”

Joshua nodded. His wounds were still open, and the loss of blood affected him. He assured, “The wounds will take a little longer to heal. But I can move, don’t worry.”

Edith looked at Seraphim, and the smiling witch said, “Let’s get rid of these bastards!”

The vampire girl threw herself from the pedestal with her eyes bright from the blood she had devoured.

Edith watched her approach at full speed, and smiling, she put her hand on the ground and said, “Syrtim!”

The sand rose from the ground and, taking the vampire, began to sink her under the ground. Edith looked at Seraphim  with a knowing smirk and said, “He is yours!”
