LXX: Who is Hunted?

When Erika stepped back and saw that Mario was healthy, she felt frustrated and could not help but clench her teeth to the two rings that she had in each hand and take a small needle from the rings, and she buried them in her fingers while she raised her hands.

Mario was pointing his rifle at her, ready to shoot anytime.

The hunter with the ax said with unmasked disdain, “This b***h thinks that it is enough to raise her hands so that we do not kill her!”

Mario looked at her with contemplation before his gaze shifted towards his partner and said, “Rick, be careful. I don’t think she gave up so easily!”

Rick snorted. He then looked at Mario with a smirk, and with full of confidence, he said, “Don’t worry! This b***h is finished!”

But at that moment, a dog landed on his backbiting his neck. Mario pointed at the young woman, but Erika, moving quickly, evaded the shots and reached where Mario was in seconds, cutting various parts of his body with her claws.

Upon landing, Erika saw how Mario began to heal his wounds and how Rick ran towards her with his ax. She backed away when Rick, leaping over the car, threw the ax in the young woman’s direction.

“Die, you damn b***h!!”

This one, moved to the side of her to avoid his, and the ax spinning towards her, spun in the air to cut off her movement.

Erika, raising her hand, let the blade get embedded in her forearms, receiving a strong wound, and the man pulled the ax back towards him. Erika, with bleeding arms, saw him, and smiling, she raised her hands, murmuring a little mantra.

“Tear apart!”

Rick looked at her and the ax, soaked in the blood of the girl, underwent an instant transformation into a huge wolf that ripped through Rick’s throat in seconds. She watched him end the hunter’s life, and as she sat on the ground, she felt the pain from the wound, healing considerably slower.

Mario, who had healed his wounds, got up and pointed his rifle at her, only to see how several wolves, all those places that the young woman had marked with her blood, appeared and began to attack him.

He healed his wounds, and she walked towards him while the wolves bit him.

“Where are the other posts?” She asked while looking at him coldly.

Mario was crying and seeing the young woman. He said, “If I tell you everything you want, will you let me go?”

She looked at him for a second, and smiling, put her blood in the man’s mouth. He swallowed the girl’s blood and screamed, and he said, “No, I don’t want to be a werewolf!”

She smiled and said, “You won’t be, for that, I have to make you, stupid… but my blood is inside your stomach. If you betray me, I will transform that drop into a wolf that will eat your insides trying to get out of your body. It is not a pleasant death, and no matter how far away you are, you can feel it as soon as I want it.”

Terrified, Mario looked in all directions. The wolves continued to destroy his skin, and seeing the young woman, he nodded.

He calmly pointed in all the directions where she had to go to eliminate the barrier, and the young woman kicking his face left him unconscious.

The hunter would survive, but that was no problem. She hoped she had scared him so much that he would give up following her.

And opening the truck, she saw a woman in a trance. She, along with others like her, was the one who managed to keep the barrier active.

One of the wolves brought her bow and arrow back, and she finally, healing her wounds, made them disappear.

Taking the bow and arrow aimed at the woman in the car, and without the slightest remorse, she shot.

The arrow stuck in the chest of the witch, and she, opening her eyes, came out of the trance.

All the energy that was accumulated returned to her suddenly, the woman with force exploded, and Erika flew back several meters due to the strong explosion.

Landing on the ground, she looked towards the barrier that, for a fraction of a second, became visible. Its efficiency was lost, and its power was weaker.

It was clear that ending that witch had affected it.

Getting up, the young woman took the ax. That weapon seemed quite useful. She calmly went in the direction that Mario had indicated.

According to the hunter, there were only two more positions left to eliminate the barrier.

With the barrier removed, Eleonor could contact Edith, and they would know where the witch was. To save her brother’s love, she still had to fight a little more.

Nate got up, her head was still a bit dizzy from what was happening, but he was very happy to see Seraphim in good condition.

While looking at the girl, he approached her and asked with unmasked concern, “Are you okay?”

She nodded—her gaze then shifted to Edith, who was currently checking her body for any injury.

“Edith, who was that guy?” Seraphim asked, full of suspicion towards Dominic. Yes, he saved them, but he was still a complete stranger to them.

She shook her head and, looking in the direction of the central tower, and she said, “The truth is that I do not know. Most likely, he is an ally of Stella.”

In the sky, a lot of birds were seen, and Nate watching them, said, “Something changed in the barrier. Those birds shouldn’t be able to be here!”

Edith and Seraphim calmly looked at each other. The barrier was being attacked from the outside, but who could be doing that?
