XCIII: Gerard’s Hostility

1022 Words
The impact sounded all over the place, and its blow opened a small scream the size of his arm in one of the woods that made up the wall, but nothing else happened. Surprised, he could not believe what he saw and turned on his heels, and he looked at Seraphim, and he saw it from the same place where they fought. Maximiliano was surprised as she had endured that attack. It was one of his strongest, and he could not believe what was happening. There was no time to think further. Thus it did not take long for him to decide what to do next. While looking at her, he decided to attack her again, and advancing towards her, he tried to run, but her bodies were sinking more and more in a shadow on the ground. The rain was wetting her fur, and in front of him, a Seraphim with her hair glued to her face confidently looked as Nate stepped out of the shadows and tightly wound him into a chain. Pushing him violently to break her neck, Nate put his feet on the man’s back, and with all the force he had, he pulled violently to wrap the chain around Maximiliano’s head and strangle him. He squeezed with all the force he could, his hands were red from the effort, and the protrusions of the chain hurt him, but he was not willing to stop. That was his chance and Maximiliano, despite being so strong, felt the pressure on his neck. Since he was left with no choice, the angry werewolf decided to turn. He raised his arm and wrapped the chain release on his arm, looked Nate in the eyes, and face to face, they both shouted with all their might to show his spirit. The werewolf’s scream was thunderous, but that didn’t stop Nate from facing him, and they both looked into each other’s screaming eyes as Maximilian turned violently and threw Nate away from him. The half-vampire flew off, but before he forcibly lost control, he held his chain, and the more it stretched, the more it wound around his neck as much as possible. He realized that fact, and when Nate got as far as he could, the chain tangled tightly around Maximiliano’s neck, strangling him. The werewolf, with the force of his body, pulled the chain again to make Nate fly towards him, the boy without resisting, approached him with force and disappearing the chain created a sword, while he descended, he prepared to cut Maximiliano, who created their wolf claws to cut the young man both approached with force and crossed paths making their movements and each remaining behind the other without knowing who had hit the best shot, Seraphim who was there could not see what was happening and expectantly waited for seeing who of the two had managed to hit the target. The blond vampire looked at Joshua and Gerard from the top of the house, and you could tell that he was a different creature, the way he saw them reflected sick security as if his presence meant nothing more than a setback to get what he wanted. Upon seeing them, he said, “It has always been absurd to me when two creatures of the same species face each other! Although again, only then do you know your position in the hierarchy!” Seeing Joshua smile, the man was calm and looked at him without getting excited while Gerard next to him clenched his fists and showed his teeth, ready for combat. The vampire seeing Gerard’s hostility, said, “As far as I know, we are on the same side! Does it seem coherent to you to act that way, friend?” Gerard gritted his teeth, and, seeing it, he said, “I do not care that we are on the same side. Since this started, you have done nothing but humiliate me with your words, and I will not allow it!” The vampire let out a sigh and, seeing Joshua asked the question that he had led him to that place in the first place. “You are the son of the moon witness, aren’t you? Do you think he can talk to her?” Joshua stared at him, and with some irritation, he said, “I don’t see that you can have to talk to my mother!” The smiling vampire stood up, his stature was deceptive, and his slim body did not reflect his true powers, flopping down on the muddy floor as the rain fell on everyone and with a calm that some might call sick, he said, “That’s personal! It is an unfinished business that she and I have had for a long time!” Joshua looked at him and, smiling, shook his head as he said, “If that’s the case, I’m afraid I can’t tell you where she is! If you have old businesses to attend to, you can do it with me!” The vampire let out a small smile when looking at both of them, and he said, “I love people like you! They know they don’t have a chance and still put up the opposition as if they could actually do something to stop me from killing them!” Joshua saw him directly, and the man placing his hand on Joshua’s shoulder from behind appeared next to him, whispering in his ear. “If I wanted to end your life! It wouldn’t take me too long.” Joshua turned and, seeing the man, walked away while Gerard did the same. They did not understand what had happened when the smiling vampire said, “Do you understand? I’m Cecil, the illusionist. None of you could beat me in a million years! Because we do not skip this fight that is frankly useless, and we establish our true objective to negotiate who lives and who dies.” Joshua took his spear and pointed at the man. He said, “Don’t think that just because of that trick, you can make me give up fighting with you!”
